I found out the problem. You have to have an . at the end of the password in the WoW.ses file:P and launch it with the shortcut.
Now I keep getting an other problem. When I get in, and I push login, it say "realm not found" or something:P help please

In Wow click Change Realm and click on the Abyss Realm.

im having trouble,

i need to know where i can get alpha models for the: !spawn <model id> <name> command.

and if anybody is looking for coords to designer/prog isle i have them:
worldport 0 16222.1 16952.1 12.5872 1 Prog. Isle

didnt test them out so they might be wrong

im geting a problem just extracting the files from the RAR i get this error:
! Cannot open C:\Documents and Settings\TPauly\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\Y16TP9SP\World_of_Warcraft_ALPHA_56[1].rar
! The system cannot find the file specified.
! C:\Documents and Settings\TPauly\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\Y16TP9SP\World_of_Warcraft_ALPHA_56[1].rar: No files to extract
whats wrong?

hey again. downloaded winrar, and i now have the files and the folders. i am now in the same conundrum a few of you are, how the hell do i boot up without "This must be opened with updater" window thing? i have tried just aobut everything that has been suggested on the board, but it still won't work.

is there somebody who had the same problem as me and got it to work? for the love of god, thow me a bone.

Did you make sure your wow.ses.txt file is changed to "wow.ses" ? Make sure that your changing the file type when you do this. If its not, there sure be a setting in the control panel that will allow you to have that option. And just to cover the basics you did make the shortcut of the wowclient.exe and within the shortcut you have the -uptodate in the target? Ill keep checking back here and see if i can help a little

Ok i think i might know whats up with it, go into the tool menu and click on "folder options". Under that go to the view tab. Now there is a list there of options go down to "hidden files and folders" list. There is a checkbox for "hide extensions for known file types" .Make sure that is UNCHECKED. This should allow you to see the extension of the wow.ses file. Which should be wow.ses.txt.I keep thinking that is the problem. Hopefully it is Just delete that part and you should be good to go. And a good way to check it is it will ask if you are sure you wanna change the file time. Hope this helps

thx for the advice, i managed to fix it and its working great now.

if you're still having trouble, go to some web mail like yahoo, send wow.ses.txt to yourself. save it back on the computer in the wow folder. save it as "wow.ses"

ya might have to open the file and edit it just a bit so you have
ABC
ABC
in the text

is there anyway to modify speed on this? or is it just not available on alpha servs.
