{EPIC} How to get your ArcEmu private server up and going for Dummies

Oh yea that , i was wondering that myself, put you have to copy EVERYTHING in the folder, not just he DBC extractor, then try run it again and it should work!

I'm getting some Errors: After i start up WoW , i can enter anything into the User + Password, and it announces : Not validate Version, may be because of corrupted data or interfering programs. Where did i go wroonnggg!?

When ArcEmu Logon Program ( The nurse ) is fine when i start it up : Integrity Check: Perfect!
But when i start ArcEmu World Program ( The Emu ) : It runs fine for the first few seconds then starts spamming , Read buffer overflow + Invalid Data then exits. I'm trying to run it on hamachi now , i changed all the IP configs to my hamachi IP but it still not working..

Should update my Core and Database? :confused:

Oke i tryed to change my patchlist to 127.0.0.1 to but that dind't make a difrence then i tryed it without the # before that things and then it gave some body error i had before so i changed it back to # but now its still giving the body error xD

So I re-downloaded the MPQE folder, and it already had MPQE.exe in it (The first time, it didn't).

So now, the final issue is when I run the extractor in my WoW folder (enUS, yes it's placed right) I get a fatal error "Could not find SFmpq.dll" even though that is in the enUS folder too. This is the last thing preventing my server from working that I know of :[

Ah, Do it in the enGB folder, and copy everything in the MPQE Folder. That should fix the problem! I'm not quite sure about the Body Error but i'v found the fix for previous errors:
When you run ArcEmu World - and it starts spamming something about spells = need correct DBC extraction from 3.0.9.

But now im stuck at the Creature Spawn column data:

Major ERROR / WARNING
One of your creature_spawns table has the wrong column count.
Please correct this or no spawns will show.

And i cant find the error..

I'm also getting another Connection error when running ArcEmu World : World_Database.account forced permissions doesnt exist.
Hmm anyone got any solutions to solve this? I'm working on it.

enGB folder? I err.. Don't have one? Where should that be? I can't even see it in my searches

Huah.. Using repack or what Ver.?

I think i know how to deal with the spawns, might have to update Core and Database for the server, there might be something familiar with mangos, im not sure, (I changed the ips to my hamachi ip) and it should fix the spawn problem.. gonna try it out.
Thats weird, check your logons again or navicat, try make your own account
( I found the fix for the SPAWNS error, just update your files with navicat ( read the Core and Datab part again with navicat )

But now i'v swapped it for a diffrent error.. it's going really slow with Logon Connection errors:

I actually was setting up the Mangos noobpack server. which was only 3.0.3 simply because I'm new to all this and trying to figure it all out, and I copy/pasted the DBC folder from that and put it into this private server folder. Now it turns on but with the same error you had about spawns. Though, when I log in it says invalid username/pass and I tried admin/admin. The version is still only at 3.0.3 so I need to update- but shouldn't it at least say that the login is correct but the version is outdated? Sorry lots going on over here. Thanks for your help :-)

Everything is started up and working for the most part now- I still have the spawn error, and now the account works but I get stuck at Authenticating. :X

Updated to 3.0.9, so now I'm on the correct version. Still stuck at Authenticating on each try, though.

Im becoming totally sick about these errors, and yet i'm wanting to get my first PVT.Server up.

This one got me bummed, when i run ArcEmu world Error appears:

SQL query failed due to [Table' world database.server_Setting' doesn't exist]
Connection failed. Will try again in 10 seconds.

I'v updated my database and core as much as i can, rechecked all the scripts and tried to fill up the error but got none thing else. Has anyone else got this?..

I'm real real close now. I updated my core and now I can login, with no errors at all on startup. The problem now is that when I create a character, it doesn't show up. So, I went into Navicat and created one on the logon database, it showed up, but when I login it goes back to the character screen with "Logon failed"

Any ideas? I feel like I'm finally about to be able to get on! :-)

When I open arcemu-logonserver.exe it just blinks and disappears right away, and for arcemu-world.exe it says it cant open arcemu-world.conf
Someone plz help and I will double rep

or edited your configs corretly, post em up.

Now Im closer towers character creation, it disconnects me when i create a character :P but i'm closer.

Okay.. I followed every step of the guide now, but there's a slight problem.

Whenever I start the restarter and it attempts to start the server my computer will just say that arcemu-logonserver and arcemu-world have stopped working and whenever I close it it just happens again.

It also does this when I manually start either arcemu-logonserver.exe or arcemu-world.exe:



Does anyone know what this problem is and how to fix it?

same is happening with me, but i cant get the error you had earlier with the creature spawns to go away, how did you fix that?
