[GUIDE] How to make a WOTLK 3.0.8 server

I downloaded, installed, and ran everything in the install guide. I downloaded the WoW Trial Version from Blizzard. When I run, instead of connecting to my own IP, I think it is trying to connect to Blizzard still, even though I have done everything according to this guide.

Also, the Trial folder is only ~100Mb, and the full game is supposed to be a couple Gb. I cannot find where on the WoW website to get the rest of it, even though they tell you that you can, because the only difference between the trial and full version (according to their website) is that they block some content and want you to pay after 10 days.

Also, my goal is not to make my server public at all. I just want to play where I am the only player connected, if that simplifies things any. I don't want anyone else on it but me, one character.

Ok, I got it to connect to my server using my test account! I'm not really sure what I did I've been fooling around with MaNGOS as well, and several different installation guides, but so far this is the furthest I've gotten with any of them. However, now there are no realms to play in the list. I am able to log in, pick from normal/pvp/rp/rppvp, but then the realm list is empty.

Okay, now I downloaded the full version of WoW as opposed to the trial, and I did all the steps above to that version, getting rid of the trial version. The version is 2.0.0. When I log in using the account I created in SQL, I get first that the account is authenticated, and then

Unable to validate game version. This may be caused by file corruption or the interference of another program. Please visit Blizzard Support for more information and possible solutions to this issue.

The steps I took to get to this point are:

1) Everything in the above guide
2) Run mySQL Server 5.1's command line client and log in (I have to reinstall SQL too when I close it because it forgets my password every time) This puts mysqld.exe into Windows Task Manager's list of tasks.
3) Run SQLyog and connect. (This doesn't work if I don't do #2)
4) Run Arcemu-logonserver.exe (I left it running in the background)
5) Run Arcemu-world.exe, which closes itself after a few seconds. I don't see an error in the text that is displayed, but there might be one at the very end that I miss when it closes.
6) Run WoW, log in, and get the error message above.
