How to Compile ArcEmu

You need to download MySQL first. Then when you are installing you will create a password. After installing,open up HiediSQL and create a new "connection". Use any name for the connection and skip to the username part. This needs to be root. Your password should be what it was when you installed MySQL.

alright so in the guide you say double click the solution arcemuVC90, and set the build to release.
I double click the solution, but it opens up as a notpad...so what should i open it with?

Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition... the download is at the top of my guide.

I don't believe ArcEmu is 3.1.0 yet. But I know Hearthstone supports it (AspireDev) It is the same basic process exept different folder names, file names, and SVN address.

This is a dumb question : How do i compile someone other's server ( i have the server's core)

You need to have the source files for the other server. You can't have to .exes. So you would just follow it the same way as this Just forget the part about downloading the repository.

Well at this point, ArcEmu is on the brink of collapse, so I recommend you use my "How to Compile HearthStone" guide; they support the latest patch I believe.

You probably didn't apply the character update SQLs.
