Pre-TBC 1.12 Private server + installing it without deleting retail

to set it for internet?
So my friends can join from their home ?

it took me awhile to figure out but hamachi works fine you jsut need to go into your SQL database browser go into relmd > realmlist there you change your IP to your hamachi, than they jsut need to set their relmlist's to your hamachi IP.

Is it possible to wallwalk in 1.12.1? afaik they nerfed it in 1.9

i have a problem..when i try and change my ip to make i lan..it always says that it cannot connect to database..i have changed the settings on localhost also.

I used hamachi, but you don't need to change your IP in the .config files, just in your SQL in relmd > relmlist ... kinda repeating myself now...

Anyway, I'm at my school, and it seems they've closed down Rapidshare, they don't seem to have closed off MegaUpload, though, could anyone please upload the repack to there? Or perhaps Depositfiles or something? =)

Aghh I've gone through the setup guide a million and one times, tried a load of alternative guides and troubleshooting websites/blogs/forums with no luck, this is putting my head through trying to get this online!

To copy/paste my problem from these logs, I have this:

2010-05-05 17:57:57 Database: 5.109.94.59;3306;root;root;realmd
2010-05-05 17:57:57 ERROR:Could not connect to MySQL database at 5.109.94.59: Host 'mypcname' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server

..from both log files. I've tried using navicat as an alternative way of setting this up (originally using hamachi) but I only end up with the same problem so I'm scrapping that. I've turned off both my router and OS firewalls as well, and I'm on an admin user. I hope this is just something simple, any help is much appreciated.
