Come to think of it, I do remember having a small item creator program. I'll see if I can find it on the internets and add it here for you guys

Well, I can't seem to find the program I was looking for. It was called Item Cr3at0r.. or was it Cr34t0r.... meh, something like that. ANYWAY:
Included in the server install is an effing DB editor! Who would've known to look in the tools folder? lol

Install this somewhere. Doesn't matter, you can put it in the default location or in a folder where you installed your 1.12 server. Once its done installing, start it up. It should throw an error at first because the settings are wrong, so just press continue and get into the program. Once there, at the top, go to Options > Configuration. Configure the Mysql and Realmd tabs, then press "Set as Active" and then "Save", followed by "close". The stat things on the left side should fill up with information along with the connection settings on the right side.

The Icons Explained : In order from left to right

Now, I HIGHLY recommend that you DON'T use the updater. I don't know if it works or not, and I'd rather not find out because if it does update to a newer version then it probably won't be compatible with your database anymore (and we don't want that).

Hmmm, the file for the ManGOS seems to be only for premium members now. Any clones of it out there on a reputable site? I don't really trust some of the others I found of it.

editeditedit: ok i registered a dns at dynedns but not sure do i put my dns or ip in those spots the guide says? need a real guide from someone whose finished this. it says

now that ive tried setting up this dns crap now i cant even get start realm to work for me, it just quits each time. this is really tough. need help please. i just change everything back to local host and mangosd.conf and realmd.conf to 127.0.0.1 again and i can get start realm to work. so what am i supposed to do for the ipaddress to make this work for the internet with my dyndns?

A year ago I had put up a 2.4.3 server on my computer which works fine.

I am following the Adobe Reader Dummies Guide included in the repack and am having a technical issues on Step 3.

Step 3: Configuring SQL Server
Run the ManGOS.exe
Click on [Start SQL] to start your SQL-Server
Open your Website Browser and use this address:
localhost/a/ (including http)

You should now be at your phpMyAdmin Server.

On the left upper side, there is a dropdown field;
Click on it and select the realmd (4) database.
Again on the left side, at the bottom of realmd (4), click on the realmlist entry



I changed the passwords in the realmd and and mangosd config files to my actual SQL password which I created on my old 2.4.3 server. However, realmd (4) still does not show up on the drop down field as indicated toward the end of step 3.

Any theories on why realmd (4) isn't showing up on phpmyadmin as a database?

Edit: Nevermind got it working. For anyone else who has a similar issue from having a server on their computer also, go into task manager and go into the processes tab and end process for mysql when you scroll through it. This gets it to stop working for your previous server's mysql. Then hit Start SQL in the mangos box and follow the instructions from there on.

However, does anyone have a working link to that database editor? MDH-Rev205.msi is what it is supposedly, but the link is broken. Please post it if someone has it or can find it or some other database editor compatible with this repack.

I am running this server right now, I'm very new to this (my first server) it took me 2 hours to get it to work.. and than 2 days for me to get my friends onto my server (but thats because I fail at networking) anyway, there are lots of strange bugs... I'm haveing a hell of a time trying to .addgo buildings... 0% success.. i managed to make a tower.. but that it teliported to a boat at Rachet and started following the boat path... also there is no command to fly... but i like the database handler and the SQL, i want to make this server work.. but i might just have to start over... but i don't have enough posts to make my own fourm yet...
