How to: Make a WOTLK ArcEmu 3.0.3 Private Server.

I tried to launch the things in the folder, i keep getting an error saying...
"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect."

If you are referring to the .conf file, open it in in Notepad.

Receiving the following when starting arcemu-world.exe:

Thread 636 duplicated with thread 636
Thread 3628 duplicated with thread 3628

It repeats in an endless loop.

ehm maybe i'm missing something but, how do i connect to my server? when I try to start World and Logon it says something like connection failed ... can't connect to mysql server on localhost, can u help me?

Private servers for RS are a lot more straight forward in comparison, because the game made in Java. WoW has several underlying codes (not just Lua) and is much harder to reverse engineer because the way the client to server works is different to RS.

As much as I would love to believe that WoTLK works on private servers I'm going to have to pass this time around. We've worked hard in the community to perfect TBC to mimic the real servers as close as possible and it was achieved a year after the launch of TBC. If you plan on playing WoTLK on a private server, prepare to be dissapointed. I have no seen or found any DB's out there that mimic wow like servers.

Can someone please help me? I cannot get it to work. Every time i try to make a new character it disconnects me. Also when i had a character it said "Login fail" when I tried it...

Hey guys sorry been away awhile, Nite, did you follow the guide Exactly? if you did your server should work fine, Or are you Trying To Make A DeathKnight? DeathKnights Get Disconnected if you try to make one, and frost go into World Announce in navicat and delete the record of it.

Yes I followed the guide exactly. I'm just trying to make a normal character.
