Is making a server from stratch more editable then a repack? Like if i had a server from scratch could i edit it more freely then my Ac-web 7.7 repack?

but still not works :S
i searched and i saw only spell.dbc that has 213 fields... maybe there is some problem with this ascent rev?

Followed your example and so far most things are working really well, the only problem i'm running into is whenever I zone the client crashes. I'm not running any addons and when it happens the server stays up I just log right back in.

Any ideas?

Whenever you zone? Like teleport or what?

I mean anything, if I use the command to port myself to another zone, walk into another zone, anytime it would load a new map (for example move from Dun Morough into Ironforge. I am dropped back to the login screen saying disconnected from server.

Nothing shows up in the client error logs and the world or logon server do not crash.

Make sure you have maps extracted and is in your ascent folder

Hey im at the part where you open the file "ascentVC90.sln".
and when i tried it it said it could find the program,should i just open it with notepad or what?
plz help and great guide

You need to open it with Visual C++ 2008 (Thats what i use)

Ascent is very outdated atm
