nice guide.
but i got a problem with my ascent-world.exe
when i open it up i get a error message saying
..\..src\ascent-shared\config\config,cpp:255 ASSERTION FAILED:
current_variable !=""
Quote with variable.D

the 1 line down it says
E Config.conf >> ascent-world.conf

Fixed it had is in it AllowPlayerCommands=10" when i did AllowPlayerCommands="1" it worked

fixed 1 and now i got a new problem.
trying to make then talk togetter what do i put in the

<LogonServer RemotePassword = "change_me_logon"
AllowedIPs = ""
AllowedModIPs = "">
i got my m8 to look at it and he made it work yay

Do this wagg:
<LogonServer RemotePassword = "ascent" (needs to be set to this in ascent-world.conf as well)
AllowedIPs = "127.0.0.0/32" (Set your realmlist to "set realmlist 127.0.0.1 or localhost)
AllowedModIPs = "127.0.0.0/32">

Do you have a "character" database installed?

yer i downloaded all off the guide and installed them
called it logon

Hmm. Well I'll check into this. It may be a core issue, or possibly the database I gave you was outdated.

Do you have the WotLK client downloaded?

yes and iv updated it to 3.0.1.8471
and iv tryed 3 apple's the english abd and why db rev 166

Well those are all world databases, they have nothing to do with the error. Only in-game stuff.

So, I think its a problem with the database (Logon/character)

oh ok the only logon database i have used is the 1 in ur guide

nope still not working added the 1 in character_updates/ and the 1 in logon_updates/ but it still is not working
