After updating to 2.5 Im stuck with " Bad Internet connection" With 2.4 it also got stuck at startup, but one restart and all was up and running. It looks like even that is says its loading the server files when you turn on the core, it seems like the sql never comes online. I did try to start sql myself, but it wont start up. comes with an error saying could not connect error 2003. I have another world running, with a seperate sql. when i turn that on, i have no problems starting my other world. I have all the programs needed to run a emu world and webpage. I do turn them all off, i recheck tasklist to see if it all is turned off. I had no problems running 2 diffrent worlds your 2.4 and my own. But now im stuck at bad internet connection.

I have seen that you have a enUS folder with realmlist in your repack, im running the uk one named enGB. Im not sure if that could have and reason for it not to work, it worked with 2.4, so i dont think it could be that. Now its just black screen with " Bad Internet Connection" Any others having this, maybe some one figured out what is wrong. Looks like the sql in mine is not starting, and i think more is not starting or working as it should. I did change the worldserver.conf as posted.

2) Well ofc you can't start another mysql server when you already have one running? Mabey try closing the original instance of mysql then starting this one. Question closed
3) I doubt this will work with SkyFire or anything currently so mabey just use this on it's own with no otehr mysql/worldserver/logonserver/website running. Question closed
4) HAving too many servers on one pc can mess up and confuse you so try as said before just using this one on it's own.

This is not just to that user this is to everyone to help get this working.

On anotehr note this looks far too confusing for me to bother downloading :P but nice work anyway OP.

1. ok. I wasnt 100% sure about that, but had an idea it shouldnt be a problem with EnUS and enGB
2. I did know that, and i did close all down before even trying to load this repack.
3. I didnt mix any of the mentioned repacks / emus together. I was trying to explain i could take all the sql`s out of this one, and loaed it into my other sqlsyog, and i would proberly get it to work, proberly with errors, and i would be in charge of what is happening behind everything. :-)
But i would like it to work on its own.
4. Im running Vmware on my computer. I have 5 Vm`s running on my comp. Its a pretty powerfull comp i have loaded with ram and i7 quadcore cpu. I keep my work seperated for each emu, but i have access from one vm to another if i need to tranfere something just in case if needed.
It has never given me any problems running vm with emus like this before. Like i said. all my other worlds are running just fine. Im still looking for any reason why i cant make it work. Will post back if i find something usefull.

Ok thank for clearing up that you have vm's makes it easier to help :P I'm not 100% on ho this works but I guess ill download it tomorrow and feedback to you. Try and re-create the issues your having and possible fixes Inc me being mega confused haha

Now I get the fun of playing in the dark trying to find this account config. I changed to direct to localhost as I'm sure if I want to connect to a server here I'm not going to want it pointing outwards, yes?


And apologies if I didn't realize this is just developers talking to developers as I am not a developer and simply someone who doesn't have knowledge beyond web design and simple old programming nobody uses anymore...

If I knew how, I would alter the old sandboxes from the WoW Cata Alpha to work with 4.0.6, as that would work perfectly for what I need...

First of all. I never said that your repack was bad. but you have to admit many people have the same problems.
I do know how to code in sql, PHP, and working with firewalls / routers and networking. I work with it every day. I only looked inside your world once for like 1 min. I never tochced anything.
I have set up many Emu worlds, and i do know alot about how to edit the conf files. I always get my worlds up and runinng.

I have all the needed programs to run a world and weppage. I actuelly have 5 diffrent pages im working on right now.
I also have 2 worlds running besides the one i got from here. i have a 3.3.5a and Skyfires / Pryds Cactus emu running with out any probs.

I think your world looks very exciting and its a new way to do things, thats why im trying it out. No one have ever made a repack in the way you have.
But something is wrong with the release. I did edit the conf files. They are all good. I went from a working release from your first repack release, then to one restart with 2.4 and now i cant get it to run. The startup core windows do say its loading all the files, but it wont start the sql.
I did recheck my access to my root, there is no problem there. I can load it from my explorer with no errors and have full access to 127.0.0.1 I also tested it with a program i have. No probs there.

I could take your world apart in small pieces and reload them into my other sqlsyog im using for my already installed sql server, but i would rather use yours in the way it was supposed to work, since i think its a great idea.
I do shutdown all my running programs that could interfeer with the startup of your world, and recheck tasklist to see if anyting is running. Its all shutdown. Im trying to find a way around this bad internet connection problem that your repack its giving me, but no luck so far.

ok lets do this step by step to see what problem you are really having..
and sorry for getting irritated..

open task manager look at all processes running..
make sure skype is off teamviewer is not running.
make sure httpd.exe is off
make sure webon.exe is off
make sure dbon.exe is off
make sure mysql.exe is off

go in your C:/World of Warcraft
folder and click shutdown.exe
dboff.exe
weboff.exe
authserveroff.exe
worldserveroff.exe

Now click
webon.exe
now chick your task manager
you should see
webon.exe
httpd.exe
httpd.exe

Check if good. moving on.
no click dbon.exe
go to task manager
check for dbon.exe
mysql.exe

make sure they are running...

If they are you should be in good shape.
If they are not loading
You have something stopping it.

it could be a config in
C:\World of Warcraft\Core\apache\conf\httpd.conf
if your httpd.exe is not loading.
it could be because port 80 is running for something else.

To check you ports do the following

1.Go to Start Menu & open RUN.


2.In RUN write "cmd" & press Enter.


3.After Opening Command Prompt type "netstat -an" & press Enter


4.& then it will show you all the listing of ports...!

if my sql is not starting up it could be in the my.ini config

Ok im back :-)
Let me see if i can explain what i did with my english.. :-)

1. I made a brand new vmware instal so everything was clean.
2. I followed your checklist and all the needed files was up and running.
3. I made a netstat -an and the needed ports was ready and listening as they should.
( Conf files are set as they should from what you posted in release 2.5)

Here comes the wierd part.
If i try to login. Im getting login server down. (Im still having tasklist open and netstat -an running. all looks good)

(Now comes something even more wierd)
In the wow folder under data. I see the repack installs a enUS folder. ( yes it should not be a problem) i already have a enGB folder. Thats were i edit my relamlist.wtf to point to my wow server as i always do. And it always works. In the enUS folder, the realmlist has this inside "SET realmlist logon.wiistream.net" And now comes the fun part. If i leave the enGB realmlist.wtf to point at 127.0.0.1 or my local ip to my wow host i will get loginserver down. If i delete whats inside my realmlist in the enGB folder and put in SET realmlist logon.wiistream.net. I will get a sucessfull login, but then its your wow server i logging into :-) I can see 2 realm there. One Fun and one for dev / test. So i dont have any problems getting through, but somehow it wont log into my own server, even that everything is started up and running. I can log into the Db with sqlsyog and see the DB and in tasklist all is running as you told it should. So im having sucess logging into your 2 realms, but getting login server down on my own.

just delete that folder if you have some other client.
and set realm list to 127.0.0.1

2.5 and 2.6 has new authserver.exe and the authserver.exe config files are located in the Config/
folder..

and if its running it should be in color.
the old authserver.exe never worked for login..

Ok now i downloaded version 2.6.
DB started up. Webpage/core started up. world and login started up. I can login to the world. But im stuck after writing user and password /authenticated. Im logging in to the realmlist, and im stuck at realm list. I can see SkyFireEMU. But it wont let me get any further. just keep saying when i try to click Okay "Logging in to game" It keeps saying that, and wont let me pass that point. Any idea why..?

Ooh. Btw.. Is there any reason why you have 2 types of character in your sql DB.?
I see one characters and one char when i look into it with my sqlsyog..?

I got the auth up and running. Logging into the realmlist is no problem. I see the Sql comes up running with red and green letters, so it should be ok.
Webpage (My own on Wii) is up and running. I have the right ip and name on it.

It looks like even that my Core/webpage were you have all the manager tools, it tells me that my world is running. Its not. It shows the green V but even that i close it down and restart, it wont start up the world.
I went through all the conf files and the one in config, all looks good. World still wont start. I have my realmlist.wtf set to 127.0.0.1

I can get to realmlist after login, and it just stays there each time i try to enter the realm named SkyFireEMU. I have no clue what to do anymore...? Need some help

characters table was broken so i crated char and deleted the characters on mine.

Well after going throug many things, i found out that my Ms Visual C++ 2008 was messed up. I made a repair of it and got it working again. I got the world up and running with webpage and all there is :-) That was nice but..!! I can see you are using some SkyFireEMU and some Trinity mixed together, not that i have anything against that, since i think they are making some great stuff but. Im liite sad about one thing. I have the Trinity Admintool, that is working great for all trinity cores. I used it alot to work on the repack realease from Pryd 3.3.5a and i know it should work in SkyFireEMU. Non of the gm comands that im trying to use are working anymore. Did your rewrite it all.?
And if yes, why did you do that. The admintool is a great tool to work on emu servers, so its a little sad most of the commands are not working anymore. Do you have a list you could post with all the new commands..? i could go get the command list from SQlsyog, but if you have a list of all the new commands, it would really help me out alot, so i could work on my world. Once again, it was nice to get my world up and running, think you did some good work with all the wii webpage and all the other stuff. Once more thanks again for your release. Please post the command list for Gm`s please :-)

The accounts others are making are through the webpage you have running from the repack. ITs the wiinet page. Its your own page. Thats were others should make a new account on your realm.
The gm accounts are already made, but i would make a new account if i was you, and go into your SQlsyog and remove them, so others cant use them, since they are known by many. Then make a new account from the webpage, and then set the access for the account in SQLsyog and make yourself gm/admin.

The already premade gm account is administrator/administrator

Trinity admintool should work, but many commands are shut of, and some are rewritten, since its in early stage and many things and been redone / remade by Mancent.

SQLsyog does not come within the repack. But it has a sql databse manager that works the same way. On the webpage were you start your core, were all the tools to start and turn off your world you have one named manager. Thats your sql tool to edit your database. There you can manage your accounts.
