Approved but you should make a package where maps are not included and you have to extract them, because at the moment a ~300MB download is huge.

Hello

I've downloaded and installed, followed everything to the letter, and managed to get the services up and running, the website works, and DNS lookup to my public DynDNS address (so anyone can see the site, not just local users).

I can login using an account I created, but it hangs at "Connected". If I hit Cancel, it brings up the realm listing, shows my realm as online and low population. No matter what I do, I can't get to the character screen.

Using all the settings, versions and everything you've outlined in your guide, on Win7x64, 4GB/2.2ghz C2D.

I can connect to the DB just fine using test connection in the SQL program you provided, so I know its working fine.

Only thing I've not tried, was to test from local 127.0.0.1, which I plan to try if requested. However, I want to make this public.

Jerkface all i can suggest is you change your realmlist to 127.0.0.1 and in the mangos config

make sure its looks like this

in navicat set address 127.0.0.1 port 8085

set your wow realmlist to

set realmlist 127.0.0.1


and see if that works hopfully this will connect ok

now if this works ok then i suggest you change it back to your dns host address

leaving your wow set realmlist 127.0.0.1

if you find that you can connect but outside your lan caint perhaps check you have these ports open

Have any fix for the realm appearing offline? Everything seems to be running, but the realm is still greyed out.

Creepwalker .... looking at your settings every thing looks fine and i really dont understand why your realm appears offline .....the only time i have had this problem is with the patch version and if you are running mysql and Realmd Mangosd .....and there not crashing out ever thing should be fine....

i even took my repack to a friends house and installed it but everything worked fine

Followed your directions, still the same issue. Changed navicat to 127.0.0.1, realmlist the same. The info in my conf file is exactly as it says above. Only change is my password is in there instead of the obvious "PASSWORD HERE" part :P

Still the same thing.

However, I did come across this error message in he mangosd.exe window:

SESSION: received non-existed opcode 0x1080

The error shows up as soon as the "Select Realm" window shows up in my WOW.exe - and repeats every time it appears.

Oh, and I've turned off my firewall, and put myself in DMZ - so all ports are open, and still the same issue.

This PHP environment doesn't have MySQL support built in. MySQL support is required if you want to use a MySQL database to run this site. Consult the PHP documentation for further assistance.

Alchimist 4.0.1 you are patched two high you need patch 4.0.0 11927

its an easy install 3.3.5 then to 4.0.0 11927

using

Cataclysm_4.0.0_11927_enGB {UPDATER}

look in patches folder



ps...so it installs 1st time put your world of warcraft in C:\Program Files\

Then when you run the installer it should install to
C:\Program Files\world of Warcraft\ Beta

it will also put a wow launcher on your desktop do not delete this until the installation is completed it takes about 1h 30mins to download if you have a good connection

when it as downloaded run the wow exe in C:\Program Files\world of Warcraft\ Beta
not the wow launcher
