are u sure the the sql user is named root the pass is mangos and the database name is mangos ? if yes check the config files again and make sure u write correct the info.
oh an 1 more are u sure the sql port is 10061? usually is 3306.

Updated Core for the release of the retail version of Wotlk 3.0.3.9183! Tested today and it works pretty good. A few bugs still.... Death and Decay, Army of Dead, and a few others don't work this time around! Make sure u read the small read me in the rar!!

Note that this is a Windows system error. I get an error worded identically when trying to start mangosd.exe as well.

Perhaps these are debug binaries, or 64 bit binaries?

Aside from guidance on this issue, a request: a compile of 6816 that includes Impconfig and AHBot. Please

What about this new Core 3.0.3.9183??.. i mean.. the last DB was 180mb and this only 70mb.. is better?.. the last mangos.conf haved DK Parameters.. and AH this not?... well i gonna test to see the difference.. only one question.. How i cant make a DK?... because the game said me something like "u re authorized to make DK but u dont have the wotlk.. and i hav already the 3.0.3" and set expansion to 2.. so?

It works for me with 9138 release. I did have to make some changes to my characters and realmd databases ( one I have been using for a long time, not the ones DT packed with this distro). Search your DBErrors.log for SQL errors. I found several, including in the files packed with this distro, such as missing tables or missing columns. A read through the Mangos changelog got me what I needed to fix.


Differences: I was using keazain's X1, based on 6744 and FDB 6.2. Startup produced an error log 980K. This repack produces only 180K worth of errors, mostly in Quests and Spells. Stealth works properly now, ships and zeppelins work, DKs work. Not working: pet feeding, glyphs.

All in all, this is more stable than the 6744 core, and has far more working correctly.

I got this set up and working but I can't sign in because I don't know how to make accounts =(
admin/admin doesn't work. Can anyone help me out?

EDIT: I found out player/player is the default login( too bad I didn't check Death's response sooner XD ) but I still don't know how to make new accounts.
Also, the runeblade quest is bugged. I try to pick up battle worn blade(or whatever its called) and the word "Fizzled" appears and your char stays crouched until you move around for about a minute. Can't finish the quest and progress the lore =(

I probably explain this somewhere! It's small because it's a SQL dump.... it's still the same ol FDB full DB! Try it out it's pretty neat!

I signed in with player/player because I had the same problem! U might have to go into SQLyog or whatever ur using and change ur admin rights though(should be 0... change it to 3)!

go into mangosd console and write this

account create "name" "pasword"

EX: account create dani 123456

to make an account gm :

account set gmlevel "user" 3 or 1 or 2 ..

EX: account set gmlevel dani 3

to allow an account to play wotlk

account set addon "username" 3-for wotlk

EX: account set addon dani 3
