SylCore - A Stable & Feature-Rich WoW Core

[SylCore]

SylCore is a custom World of Warcraft server core based on AzerothCore, built with stability, customization, and ease of use in mind.
I created SylCore after seeing constant bugs and breaking changes in AC updates, one of which completely broke a friend’s server.
My goal is to keep a Blizzard-like experience while giving server owners more control through improved settings and features.


What’s the Plan for SylCore?

1. New Features & Customization

• Blizzlike by default (minus the Blizzlike bugs), but with more configurable settings for custom servers.,
• Added dynamic glyph slot unlocking – configure glyph slot levels without modifying source code.,
• Added Dress NPC - now you can change every NPC's outfit how you like with a simple command.
• Added Encryption/Decryption - Protect your database tables with AES-256 encryption, all done with 1 click.
• More quality-of-life improvements in progress!,

2. A More Powerful Eluna System

• Creating SylCore-Eluna-Mod, an improved version of Eluna.
• Adding new events, functions, and scripting capabilities.
• SylCoreLib, a new and improved Eluna framework and library, complete with Intellisense (Still being developed, but feel free to use it!)
• Open to feature requests—let me know what you'd like to see!

3. Cleaner & More Understandable Code

• Improved structure and readability.
• Adding comments & documentation to make it easier to work with.

4. Clear, Meaningful, and Safe Updates

• No vague or random commit messages—each update will have a detailed explanation of what changed and why.
• Care is taken to avoid unnecessary changes that could break your database or disrupt existing servers.

5. A Friendly & Supportive Community

• A helpful, toxicity-free environment for WoW emulation enthusiasts.
• Open discussions, knowledge sharing, and support.

My 2 cents regarding SylCore:

I'm the developer of a heavily modded, somewhat successful repack and I happily switched from regular AzerothCore to SylCore. I have zero regrets about my decision.

It means the world to me that I can update my core without having to worry about my custom changes breaking, and the encryption SylCore offers is a godsend to anyone who wants to give people a repack and not worry as much about lowlives stealing their hard work, marketing it as their own and monetizing it.

Also, Sylian is hands-down one of the most talented, clever, resourceful and friendly developers that I have met during my modding career. There is no one in this hobby I'd trust more with developing a core that my project is based on.

I would encourage anyone interested in SylCore (and modding in general) to join his discord. It's a very friendly place with several highly talented individuals that can point you in the right direction if you get stuck somewhere along the line. I'll be there to answer any questions regarding spellwork or creature design if that's what you're interested in, but there are experts in other fields of modding there as well.
Beginners are especially welcome. The place has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to toxicity, so you don't ever have to worry about asking "stupid question" and getting criticized for it. We were all new at this at some point and we're keeping that in mind.
