[WPE] & [CE] Take any quest (bypass prereqs, faction, no NPC needed)

alright i have got a small problem
just the other day i was looking at this post

and i thought nice i wanna try that out, but this is a chain quest and somewhere in the chain its bugged.

so i was thinking maybe i can get the quest i need by using this guide.

so i did the following:
opened CE searched for HS = 6948 and i changed the value in 23678 (Faintly Glowing Crystal)

next i opened WPE ( permedit privilleges given to WPE ) and i targeted wow.exe.
i created a filter on filter one, and went to 15-16
so than i used my calucalor to find out what the hex code is

Search : 7E - 5C (the crystal id = 23678 = 5C7E hex,
Modify : XX - XX (ID of the quest you want )

the hex code for the quest i wanted it was 12070 (Rallying the Troops)

and i converted it : 2f 26 so i twisted the code 2f 26 becomes 26 2f

and i changed the filter to

Search : 7E - 5C (Faintly Glowing Crystal]
Modify : 26 - 2F (Rallying the Troops)

than i checked the box and pressed on went to wow, closed/opened bags but still the same quest

but somehow i did not work, some help would be appriciated !

Is it possible to start a totally different quest with another questitem? I mean for example you have Ancient Qiraji Artifact in your bag and when you click on it, you can accept the quest line for Thunderfury. Is that possible?

u changed id of q item in wpe. try change id of quest from that item.

With a little help from WPE and CE you can take any quest anywhere you are (also hordes can take ally quests and the other way around). You have to meet the lvl requirements for the quest tough.

What you do, is you change an item (lets say hearthstone - 694 to an item thet starts a quest (lets say Faintly Glowing Crystal - 2367 with CE. Then in WPE (using 15, 16 slot) you change the quest that Faintly Glowing Crystal starts to another quest. Now use the item and accept the quest.

Assuming you know how to use WPE & CE I did not post screens and didn't go into depths of simple WPE, CE using. Also, tested this out in a server that has BT attunement req (as there was a post here somewhere about ppl wanting to get into BT, but the quest wasn't there), but didn't get the BT questline with this, so i assume it has been removed in some servers.
