i need help. i missing like the first three tables and the character table. oh and banned_names and the one in between. does any one have these? thanks if ya do.

Does everyone here use ascent? lol..... anyway, if ur using a mangos pte server, you might want to check out https://mangos.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mangos/trunk and restore from the character.sql dump file in mangos\sql folder.

most of the people here use ascent and most of the pivate servers also simply becuz mangos = major piece of crap (and they never clean it omg! )

The team that made mangos is still constantly supporting us with updates WEEKLY and its affiliate database United DB is also providing bi-monthly releases. Everything is always as blizz-like as it can be, which is what they are aiming for.

The only flaw I can find is that they don't do funstuff, everything is blizz-like. Why don't you try it out for a change? U can check out my guide on the mangos emulator guides section. That is..... if you have the patience to. I've been told my guide is damned long.

Fyi, I was running Amrican's repack 2 years ago but switched to Mangos because of their open-source policy.

running 1/2 year with how much players?
average latency? (host specs, connection specs ram usage?)
the source code is a mess too.. they really should clean it up more....
when it comes to running big stable servers ascent is the best
and for people with a good host Ludmilla/Kobold = verry nice too !
Mangos comes one 3th place for me

Haha sad to say, lesser than 10 players? I invite friends in to spot bugs for me. Nuff' said for latency, only 10 players anyway, lol.

And I wouldn't know about the source code although it compiled ok for me. As long as it doesn't need to be debugged and there are 0 errors and the server works, I'm one happy smug nerd boy hiding at home doing scripting that no one will ever see. Muahahahaha!

I guess Mangos isn't as good as Ascent for hosting situations but I sure learnt alot from it. Hence the loyalty if you'll forgive me.

Our discussion aside, but your claim has piqued my interest! I was going to try ascent for a change but their forum is soooooo laggy. And its not my connection I'm on other webbys fine. They must have alot of traffic.

probably... just check the players online map... or status page of the server...
i know some ascent servers who hold more then 2000 players lol but as i said mangos is crap
