Does my Computer have what it takes?

Ok, First off i have a server called WoWX, Its on Hamachi, And i want it off ...

And i was wondering if i hosted my server off hamachi does my computer have the right stuff for it like is it good enough?

    Here is my Stuff
    Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
    Version 2002
    Service Pack 2
    AMD Athlon(tm)64 X2 Dual
    Core Processor 3800+
2.00 GHz, 960 MB of RAM
    Physical Address Extension

I Don't think i needed to add the Physical address extension...

But Will Hosting a Server Slow Down my Computer? and Is it Good Enough?

It's truly an "okay" computer for hosting, although you'd definalely want to looka t some really goog page filing to increase memory (or go buy more ram)
The only question you really need to consider, (since most server don't even use a full gig just for the server until they peak about 500 players) is...do you have fast enough upload speed. Most of the time, downloading isn't a problem, download is ALWAYS higher than upload. Find out your bandwidth limitations, and hit me back.

ok your computer isnt so bad it can support without lag alike 30 to 50 people but if you want to go better try to have 3 or 4 gigs of ram, ascent consumes almost all ram, HDD is not that important cuase the files arent to big the most important thing here as dracconus said is the upload of your internet... try to have 1mb of upload and that will be just fine

I was wondering if mine would be enough. Figured it would be. Thanks for posting an exact needed amount as I wasnt' sure for the upload. But, yeah four gigs of ram is MOST definately a good idea.

you need bout 1.5 GB ram minimum to run ascent ok, (2gb+ are prefered)
it loads alot of maps and stuff. turning map load off = bugs server, and crashes more

also, i had 20 Mbit down, and 1.5 Mbit up, and server lagged as hell with 50+ online, so with 700 kbit....

i think you see the picture here =)
