    How to compile Antrix

    ~~~How to compile Antrix~~~
    1. First you need to download/ install the program to compile your server. The most recommended one is VS 2003 .net pro because it’s way easier to use and it happens sometime REV works for 2003 and not 2005 like REV 522 (Server does not hook after compiling using 2005 but works if compiled using 2003 o.0) A good thing about 2003 is that it has SDK and RC1 build in it so no need to download and configure them.
    Fenopy : Visual Studio.net 2003 pro full.exe download
    2. Now you need to download/install the program that will let you download the source of Antrix via a system called SVN.
    Download | TortoiseSVN
    3. To open up the Antrix SVN source open this in your browser
    svn://emupedia.com/svn/antrix
    4. You should see a box opening. That’s tortoisesvn. In the main windows, you should see a file called "svn://emupedia.com/svn/antrix" right clique on it and go to export. In the export directory, select a place to send a copy to. Making a clean directory to export to, would be nice.
    5. Open up Visual Studio 2003. Clique on file and select open then select. You should see a file called "antrixVC71.sln" open it up
    6. right clique on Solution ‘antrixVC71’ and select "Build Solution". This is the compilation command you need to use for compiling the package.
    7. When you’re done, you need to compile a file located to \src\scripts from the main directory named “scripts2003.sln”. Make sure you have no errors again. “
    8. Configure all 3 files (\src) antrix.conf, logonserver.conf and realms.conf.
    9. You’re almost done. You need to extract your DBC file for TBC
    http://www.devlog.net/software/MPQextractor_1.0.zip
    11. Open it up and point it at patch.mpq it should make a File. Rename it to DBC and send it at \bin\debug
    12. You’re missing one last thing. Maps! Download this
    enUS: http://yamachi.wowps.org/upload/wowp...S-2.1.0-ad.rar
    enGB: http://yamachi.wowps.org/upload/wowp...B-2.1.0-ad.rar
    deDE: http://yamachi.wowps.org/upload/wowp...E-2.1.0-ad.rar
    Thanks Yamashi for the links ;-)
    13. Extract that to your main directory and execute it. It should create a file called “maps” send that to your antrix source.
    1.3 Now all you need is to get your self a DB. For easier DB importation, I recommend you to download a program called "MySQL Front" and uncheck the square that says "Stop insert if error".
    Import 1.3 then update using the patch
    OBDB Patch RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting
    Look up the Database part of antrix's sub forum for the latest OBDB version as this one will be quickly outdated.
    When your database is set up, antrix.conf, logonserver.conf and realms.conf are configured and your 2 files to compile have been made with no errors, everything should work. Open up antrix.exe then logonserver.exe:wave::wave::wave:
    Sorry, but
    FAIL
    First of all, there is NO SUCH THING as Antrix. Well, I guess there is, but its no emulator.
    Second, its int he wrong section.
    Third, double post.. But oh well, with some moderator help, I am sure this can end up good after all, but as a hint, chance Antrix to Ascent.
    Oh, and Fourth: Great work on digging up a very old guide... Or so it seems, it talks about 5 houndred, while Ascent is atm on.. rev 3000 or something.. Or, guess its alot less, but, its not that far away from.
    Fifth, all links are broken, but the last one, which leads to something that is outdated.
    It was a attempt to contribute atleast, but, please, don't try to get out of the leecher state by leeching stuff to MMOwned.
    Ye, but there is no Antrix.
    What you said is what I ment, but I did not express myself good enough I guess.
    Anyway, lets let this "guide" fall into the darknes of the emu section, and let it never be dug up again.
