Private servers first time

hello guys this is my first post in this section (cheer)



Yesterday one of my good friend showed me a private server, I thougt it was a great server. Now I've realized that it is much funnier to play on private than on official.
Well, as I've already said the server was very good, but there was some bugs and something i wanted to change and now i want to make my own server to avoid those bugs and change the things I wanted to change, but before i can make a server i need to know somethings.


My questions:

What is the different between Antrix-, Mangos and Ascent server and how do i use them?
Do i need any programs to make a server?
If yes then what programs?
Is there any MUST see guide for making a server?

Ok down to business

Q: What is the different between Antrix-, Mangos and Ascent server and how do i use them?
A: Antrix and Ascent are the same same team and all (antrix has a cooler name though!) MaNGOS is buggy and laggy If you want to set one up try AC Web 7.1 it's acent and not laggy i like it.

Q: Do i need any programs to make a server?
A: Not really if it's your own then you have the .kill and well the "." stuff you can try WoWEmuHacker i belive it's popular it's basically just "." in a easy format though

Don't download the revisions and compile and all that it's to hard for nothing get a repack again i like AC Web comes with all the instructions to make it public though you need JulianX's guide very nice i'll post a link

The Diffrence between them is most of all the commands!
There is also some diffrent bugs, More Repacks for Ascent/Antrix and often Ascent is more customized for Servers with "Higher Player Capacity"
