First time server problems

Hello i have just started trying to make a server for my home computer it is on a lan connection and is currently unable to get onto the internet and i have been trying to set up world of warcraft useing my libaray's local internet connection. I came to this site when i looked up a guide on how to hook up a server for myself and came across a site here and the ascent relms will not connect with the rest of the repack i downloaded it has a different password and user name then the rest of the stuff i got in the repack and i cant figure out how to change the username or password.

and the guide didn't tell me how to use this repack to create a new account so some information on this would be greatly welcome as well sorry for the inconvience.

I have with me my ascent logon and ascent realms config files in a txt format for ease of viewing. But because of the computer i am on it wont allow me to post them in here if you need to look at the files let me know and i'll post them tommorow when i am able to get back on the computer once agian.

ok well basics:

repacks normally come with a file thats in "sql format" if u get mysql (google it) its a db program set it all up (there are so many guides on this forum), and download navicat, then click on connection and fill in the detail of your mysql connection. then on the connection it will connect, right click on it and make a new DB, call it ascent then rightclick on ascent, click execute batch file, select the file and press start, this may take up to 10 min and thast your DB done



about making an account, go into navicat and click ascent and there will be tables... click account and fill in the details as follows:

ID User Pass GM
1 <username> <pass> az

and leave the other rows they will sort themselves out.

after that go into your repack folder>bin>debug> and there are 4 config files... edit all 4(guides are in the config files just follow them and read EVERYTHING)

then once you have done that start ascent-logonserver and ascent-world

then walah logon with the realmlist 127.0.0.1 and if you have any errors PM me or add my msn [email protected]

now i have another problem though when i log on it either gets to success or handshakeing before suddenlly stopping and it wont go any further....

I have an idea though i'm going to try to update my sql's and see if that works if you have any advise on something else i should do i'd be happy to hear it thanks agian.
