Wow Alpha help

Hi i need help to the Alpha server.
when i open the file WoWClient.exe it says:
Program must be launched by the updater.
What do i do plz help me?

Ok..Be sure that you are running WoWClient that is a shortcut and..
you have [space after the "] -uptodate And be sure that you are running WoWClient.. not running it through the server button..

i did...
but i got an idea!
can you make a shortcut to me for the folder:
C:\WoW\WoWClient.exe -uptodate
and then try to send it to me?
then it will mayby work.

I'm bumping this post to say that I'm having the same exact problem. The shortcut's target is correctly set with the -uptodate argument and everything, but it still refuses to launch. It simply gives the error, "This program must be launched by the updater".

Any help at all? I'm using Windows 2000, if it makes any difference.
