    Can someone explain?

    Hey guys,

First and foremost I have not played this game since the release of WOTLK. Had it not of been for my younger brother begging me to play to help him out I probably wouldn't even be bothering with this title anymore.

That said I'm really curious as to why there is a severe lack of MoP servers? I recall development going for WOTLK when I stopped playing but somewhere down the line did it stop? Or did people just not like the new expansions and as such have refused to make servers for it?

It'd be real helpful if someone could explain the situation to me... thanks in advance.

Blizzard is really slowing the developers down, and the servers that actually make stuff work they tend to keep it to themselves.
Not to advertise but if you are going to play 5.0.5 (MOP) Pandashan is the way to go, they have the most complete Panda server atm.

That makes sense. Well that sucks it's happening, I had both retail and private playing time. The thing with private is you'll find a better sense of community as well as more creative options. It sucks they're kind of killing that off a bit.

Pandashan though has terrible rates. I don't want to play a near retail XP game. I like the other one (the russian counterpart out there) that is like x100. That still means I have to put in some work but at the same time it's realistic to my work schedule.

High barriers to entry to the scene, lack of public developers, no interest in achieving such a feat from those who would be capable in helping, nobody who can agree on what standards to follow if such a serious project was approached.
