WoW MYSQL DB dump stealing all the information WTF HELP!?

omg im soo pissed right now.. is mysql retarded or what!?!!?!

I have set someone previlages on my mysql database ( BUT I CANT SEEM TO FIND THE OPTION TO GIVE HIM "DUMP" command or not!)

I see only EXECUTE. wtf! that maens anyone that can acces the DB can steall it for themselfs!?


I didnt even have him set server previlages only 1 DB previlages and that is " SELECT , UPDATE, CREATE , DELETE INSERT" in 1 SPECIFIC DATABASE!


Please help me to take his other previlages away such as prevent him from exporting my stuff!

Else anyone can steal from anyone around the world this way! wtf !

If he has the 'SELECT' command he can steal all data.

That's why you only give him access the tables he needs.

MySQL has some very advanced permission systems, allowing you to only give permissions for individual columns, tables, databases, etc.

Get SQLyog Community Edition (it's the best MySQL GUI that is free) and then go to tools -> user permissions. It should be easy to understand.

You can make multiple accounts. The account with full access only you should have access to.
