Any updates?
I want a sandbox nao! o:
Cmon ! Nothing?
Can't believe any news since now.
Sadly looks DEAD
will never be dead :P
Then release something
When the community gives nothing back, why would you release anything to the public?
What would it achieve, by releasing a MoP sandbox? Suddenly a few hundred random people are downloading it without even saying thanks. A few do say thanks, but those are the few. You have many complaining of a lack of features even though it is only a sandbox, and moaning at the original poster. And then al these people downloading it - what are they going to give back? Are they going to implement new stuff to it? I think not. Are they going to post it on every other site in a hope for reputation? I think so.
So why would anyone wish to go through that? Have their work stolen, people claim it is theirs, and nothing improved upon it, and for what?

Yea , but i am out of founds simply because the place where i do live.
People should think that you get reputation for yourself , people will remind you.
For me it's hard to play on retail and also to get on ptr you need an active subscription.
I have mop beta on pc since 1 month or so waiting for someone to release something.

i want that sandbox![]()
why would anyone release anything if that was the case? People release shit for recognition, there is always leechers and stealers etc but if people used the above argument and never released anything, where would we be with wow-emulation? Probably still trying to work the kicks on a TBC sandbox.
So just release some shit, maybe open source it, and someone will get interested enough to work on it too and before you know it, we have a working emulator.
Actually this is exactly the reason we're still mainly focusing on 3.3.5a instead of working on newer patches. More and more people are going private and not releasing content for the reasons I state above. At least, this is the case from my experience and the people I know.
I recently made a thread about account messaging - a mechanic in the WoW client never utilised by Blizzard that I provided a tutorial on how to implement. This is new and original. Know how many replies it got here? Just one. And the limitations of the system that I'm sure others could fix? Nope, nobody posted publicly. And this was across several forum boards. It just goes to show how dead skilled public development is.
I wish things were different, but there's not a lot that's going to convince me personally to not be selfish and to be open. I've grown tired of people leeching my stuff and claiming it as their own, and not actually getting anything decent back from the original post.
