    Problem connecting to private server.

I've tried connecting to multiple private servers with version 3.3.5a
First, I downloaded the 3.3.5a WoW torrent off molten-wow. After that, I tried connecting with my registered account and the login screen stays at "connecting" forever. I tried different private servers, and all have had the same problem. I also tried shadowburn (Shadowburn World of Warcraft) but had no luck as well. Can anyone help me out with my problem?

    1. Downloaded WoW from molten-wow.com
    2. Double-checked realmlist
    3. Attempted to log on, but remained stuck at "connecting"
    4. Exited WoW
    5. Tried multiple realms, all requiring version 3.3.5a
    6. Edited realmlist file to connect to each realm.
    7. No success still
    8. Attempted to repair WoW (Using WoW repair)
    9. "WoW could not be repaired, please re-install"
    10. Re-downloaded WoW from molten-wow.com still had same problems.

WoW also should be allowed through my anti-virus. I will double-check that right now and see if the problem still persists. Any suggestions?

    AV: Avast! Internet Suite
    Exception to exclude WoW enabled.

    Problem still persists >.<

I used to play on TBC Private servers long ago, and the proceses to connect to private servers seems to be the same. Is there anything I'm missing? I will provide computer specs info just in case.

Could be that the wow your getting from that server is just bad period. Have you tried downloading a 3.3.5 client from any other source?

I haven't tried downloading it from a different source yet. I'm going to try test it on another computer, and see if there is still a problem with the connection. I am connecting with the Retail servers just fine however, on all computers. Do you recommend any external sources to obtain another copy of 3.3.5a? I will check TPB as well as demonoid.

Just need to finish homework as well. These PS's look very promising.

I have a new problem now. I redownloaded the game a variety of times, and the realmlist.wtf is set to the specific private server. However, when I attempt to connect to the PS, it instead is connecting to the retail version of the PS. What's going on?

Your editing the realmlist.wtf file that's located in \World of Warcraft\Data\enUS(enGB)?

Yes, I am editing the realmlist.wtf file in that location.

I fixed it, and this is what I did. (Took a while, had to go somewhere and was really busy the past few days)
I deleted it off the computer, downloaded it onto another computer, tested login(success), then transfered the files to the computer I wanted to have it play on.
