Introduction

Hello, I'm William. I've worked on a lot of different World of warcraft private servers over the years as a Gamemaster --> Head Gamemaster --> Administrator --> Co-owner.
Listing a couple: Wow-pwnage, Kamical wow, Cruel wow, Trident wow, Lok'amir, Former Vanillagaming (Can't remember name), Wowm8, WowBeez (And a lot of other ones)
Mostly known as Midna.

However due to a lot of experience I've made up my mind to start up my own project. And now decided to go for an 3.3.5 PVP/Arena server, because that's the one I'd know most about as a player.

Thoughts

I've had a lot of thoughts into this whole project and I'm very excited about getting started.
Even thought the project itself isn't very complex, I'd like to shot you my ideas so far.
Mainly we'll be going for a 3.3.5 focusing on Arena, and Battlegrounds for sub entertainment.
Aswell with Permanent events such as stair events and such for minor reward.
Titles will be a little different from other servers, since I like to keep their shine on, which means; every title will have it's objective to be gained to a player (Pretty much Retail. I just don't like the idea of not fancy yourself with titles lol)

I can keep this up for series, so I'll be going into depth for more interested people. [Donations, Voting etc]

Now when it comes to the actual recruitment I'm looking for someone with a lot of Patience, DEDICATION and Maturity.
You must at least be over 16 years old to apply for this.

We're looking for a temporary Host to get the server running until we've saved enough money for a dedicated server.
If you're interested in Hosting for us, you'll be offered a spot as a administrator once we've our dedicated host. (Definitely depending on who you're acting as a staff)

Aren't we all getting a little tired of the failed fan-boy mash-ups and bug-infested dead dreams?


We are currently looking for a host, if you are interested, you can find my contact information at the bottom of this thread.

Arising from the ashes of a dying community tainted with greed, low standards and indecency, Concord Entertainment's goal is simple:

To create a warm, welcoming and balanced environment for people of all races, genders, locations and ages to play. Free of the litany of excessive donations, server instability, undeveloped cores/databases and inattentive staff.

But beyond that goal is so much more. With monetary resources being provided by myself, a team of cool-headed, skilled and dedicated individuals will be required to bring Concord Entertainment off the ground to a confident start. Remember, this is a project for the community by the community, we're here to do it right.

Looking For Group?

All positions require that you have a microphone. An interview can be done by either IM or voice communication via skype/xfire/msn; your choice. Administrator and co-founder positions require that you speak English fluently. All positions require that you are a mature individual.


Co-founders:

You will need to have a variety of skills and be able to contribute regularly to maintaining and developing Concord Entertainment. You are expected to have skills that you know would bring benefit in meeting Concord Entertainment's goals. Creative and critical thinking is a must. Aged 18 or older

Administrators:

[Server Administrator] [Positions Available - 1] You will be overseeing the servers, keeping them functional and performing related tasks. You will have an assistant that will help you perform your tasks and do basic duties while you are away. You will also have to do the tasks of other administrators while they are away and they will do the same for you. Aged 16 or older.

[General Administrator] [Positions Available - 1] - You will be doing everything and more administration-wise if you feel you can handle it. You will have an assistant that will help you perform your tasks and do basic duties while you are away. You will also have to do the tasks of other administrators while they are away and they will do the same for you. Aged 16 or older.

[Community Administrator] [Positions Available - 1] - You must write write and speak English fluently. You will need to have previous experience moderating a forum or being a community helper. Aged 16 or older.

4+ Year Head GM/Admin Looking For A New Home.

Hello everyone, I'm posting here because my previous server's owner has become very detached and negligent to the staff and server alike. I won't bore you with a wall-of-text story, but the server is currently down, (Has been for a couple weeks.) and he's been inactive and unresponsive to e-mails for quite some time.. and that's the gist of why I'm here looking for a new server to be a part of.

Why I think you should consider me to work for/with you.

-I'm committed and dedicated; been with this same server/owner since mid-2007, being the oldest staff member there.(Other than the Owner himself of coarse.)
-I am able to devote most of my time towards your server; I'm out of school and currently unemployed.
-I'm fair and unbiased; I treat everyone equally while on a GM account, I have no problem declining friends of items, currencies, etc. Rules are Rules.
-I have no problem being told what to do or how I could improve myself, I take criticism well and always want to better myself.
-I can be trusted; I've had Database and Remote Access for years without problems.
-I know basic SQL and can edit database tables with ease.
-I'm always calm, no matter the situation; WoW is meant to be fun, kids who try and troll me, make me giggle most of the time other than get me angry.
-I can handle most situations by myself given the right tools and information.
-I try and be as mature and grammatically correct as I can, unless I'm fooling around with a friend. I like to have fun and joke around, but I know when to stop.

Things I've Done/Know How To Do; (May Repeat Myself a Bit Here.)

-I've been a Head-GM/Admin for a few years now, but never 'owned' a server.
-I can create and insert custom items, and even modify/customize existing retail items through the database easily.
-I can host/build events ranging from Stair/Jump events to massive Hellfire Peninsula 'Tower Capture' events.(With One GM Helper.)
-I can create Malls, Guild Houses, Towns/Cities, Jump/Stair events, General 'Hang Out' spots, etc. if given a general idea of what you would like.

Other Information You May Be Interested In;

I prefer TrinityCore servers the most, although I've worked on MaNGOS and ArcEmu, I just simply like TC the best.
I only have a 3.3.5 patched WoW right now, so I strongly consider 3.3.5 realms.
Also, I would like a permanent spot if I were to be hired, not 'Make me a mall and gtfo lol'.
The hours I'm available vary day-to-day, although my timezone is GMT -10. I can be active up to 12 hours+ everyday.

Server Information:

The Titans are attempting to break out of the Emerald Dream. The Emerald Dream has been the Titans Prison for a Millenia. The Titans where imprissoned in the Emerald Dream by their very own brother, Sargeras. After Sargeras imprisoned his brothers in the Emerald Dream he set out to form his own "Universe". To complete this he needed an Army. This is how the Burning Legion was formed. As the Burning Legion burned through the Universe, it eventually arrived at Azeroth. The pathetic Human Races defeated the initial invasion of the Burning Legion, and halted Sargeras' assault. Unknowing to Sargeras, the Night Elf Druids that resided in Azeroth could access the Emerald Dream, where he imprisoned his Brothers. Unknown to the Druids of Azeroth, instead of the Emerald Dream being a Dream it is infact a zone that you can access if you have the means of doing so. During this time the Horde and the Alliance are locked in endless conflict. Constantly meeting eachother on battlefields all over Azeroth. While the Alliance and the Horde are fighting their petty conflicts, the mage Khad'Gar, Apprentice of Medivh is learning of the Titans Escape from the Emerald Dream, and how they are being aided by a giant named Korthian. To stop the Titan threat, Khad'Gar lead's an attack on Korthian. During the Battle, Khad'gar places all of his power into one destructive banishing spell that ends the Titans escape. Unfortunately the spell is blocked by Korthian. A mass amount of energy is released and the Titans are freed, and the world is left in ruins. Many locations in Azeroth become the Titan's basecamps. What's left of the Horde and the Alliance are scattered all over Azeroth. The Horde has setup their new city somewhere near Thousand Needles, and the Alliance has setup their main city somewhere near Arathi Highlands. While the Alliance and the Horde deal with the uprising threats to their people alone, the Argent Crusade continues to wage a war against the Burning Legion and its Minions, while trying to maintain a neutral alliance between both the Horde and the Alliance. The Titans mean no harm to the races of Azeroth. The only reason that Khad'gar tried to prevent their escape is because he knew that it would attract Sargeras and the Burning Legion to Azeroth again.

Requirements you will need (If Applying as a Model Editor):
- You will need to have knowledge of using Noggit and other World Editing Programs
- You will need to have the knowledge of combining multiple patches into one patch.
- You must be creative in your developing!
- You must be able to devote yourself to the server... (You can have a life of course though)

X-Con Development.

Currently only looking for 1-3 expert Lua scripters. Expert not in Funserver scripts but advanced retail based scripts.

Ex: Quests with a guardian raptor and upon accepting quest id ### you have the option to challenge nearby raptors to a fight to ensure your raptor is ready for real combat. This is only a small example of quests you need to be able to script to join the development. You will only get Game master access, no database but quest ideas on this server are really complex from level 1-90. Only thing holding me back from making an amazingly fun server..... I can't script, world build, make npcs, make items, and fix bugs at the same time. Some scripters would really lift some weight off my shoulders. Just send me a pm and I'll contact you further.

I use to own my own server, and was admin on a few select servers

I'm Tim, I don't normally cause problems, but when i do, I will try and fix what had happened and resolve it. When i join servers, One of the first things i offer is a new forum if they don't already have one. (I own a copy of Vbulletin). I like helping people with their problems. I have a good attitude and I always welcome criticism when i get it.

16. We require all GM's to act professional at all times, this includes proper spelling and grammar. If this would be a problem for you, please explain why?
This would not be a problem

17. If you were going to submit a suggestion for us, what would it be?

It depends on the server.

18. Events can get out of control, how would you pull a situation under control if it went bad ?
I would seperate the players that are having the issue, Resolve it, then allow the event to continue.


19. What do you think is the most important thing a GM can do ?

Helping the players with anything they need.

Also:
I am willing to do the night shift watching the server, and I normally am not flagged as a GM ingame. I also normally help players without using my powers, For example, If they needed a tank for an instance, I would tank the instance without using any GM spells or using any commands.


Oh and: I know how to work in LuA AND C++, Figured it would come in handy sometime

Vodka-WoW.com is currently building up a crew for our emulated server. We are starting up fresh.

We have past experiences with WoW Emulation. We were Exile WoW a few years ago but decided to shut it down and now this will be our rebirth. Darkened Days - Website

At the moment we are only working on Darkened Days.

What is Darkened Days?

Darkened Days is a custom blizzlike adventure designed to look and feel like a World of Warcraft expansion.

It has it's own custom lore as well as many new custom items, NPC's, quests and many other aspects which make up the whole.
Such examples of custom content are:

• New level 1-30 starting quests for all races, these quests follow a unique storyline based on the lore of Darkened Days.
• Increased level cap. At the moment the level is 90 but we are discussing changing it to 100.
• Old zones renovated with new quests which tie to the lore of Darkened Days. For example, Desolace is now facing much bigger problems than it did before...
• Two new races! - The Alexandrian High Elves (Quel'dorei) and the Ara'he Taunka. These new races will begin in two new custom zones! - An'orien and Ara'he.
• Custom music!
• Fully custom login screen!
• New end-game zones! - Watership, Autumnal Glades, Balor, Fox Island and many more are in development!
• Custom cinematics!

..and the list goes on.

That is just some of our many plans for Darkened Days. But our team is minimal and we need to speed up development. We need:

• Skilled LUA scripters to create events, boss fights and many other exciting additions.
• Someone whom has great knowledge of ArcEmu and how it works.
• Model editors - map creators and texture artists.
• Lorewriters - looking for very creative writers who can create perplexing concepts and plots.
• Item designers - people who are not only creative but can create items for all classes, levels and specs with appropriate stats.
• Quest designers - this position links with lorewriting. Creative people who can create perplexing concepts and plots.
• NPC designers - creative people who can bring out personality within NPC's as well as giving the NPC's appropriate HP/armor/etc...
• Voice actors for voiced events.
• Area designers for custom zones.. also for custom dungeons, raids and battlegrounds.
