Update: There's finally something going on in the "330" branch. For those who are wondering how to use it, just run

git checkout 330
git pull

in your already cloned MaNGOS git repository and build it.

This update needs the usual SQL changes but also new DBCs and maps. Extract them and copy them to your mangos folder. More details here:

It's working. More less than more but it does. Logging into some old characters causes a disconnect but new ones do work well enough for bot testing and stuff.

Is it possible to connect to MaNGOS with a 3.3.0 client yet? I've tried both the latest builds of MaNGOS "master" and "330" branches, to no avail.

The source definitely looks like they're working on the 3.3.0 changes:

Update: Something's going on in the "330" branch and I just successfully created a new character using the latest 3.3.0a client. I've updated my first post accordingly.
