Summary:

World War 2, also known as the Second World War, was a war fought from 1939 to 1945 in Europe and, during much of the 1930s and 1940s, in Asia.

The war in Europe began in earnest on September 1, 1939 with the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, and concluded on September 2, 1945, with the official surrender of the last Axis nation, Japan. However, in Asia the war began earlier with Japanese interventions in China, and in Europe, the war ended earlier with the unconditional surrender of Germany on May 8, 1945.

The conflict spilled over into Africa, included a handful of incidents in the Americas, and a series of major naval battles.

It was the largest armed conflict in history, spanning the entire world and involving more countries than any other war, as well as introducing powerful new weapons, culminating in the first use of nuclear weapons.

However, despite the name, not all countries of the world were involved; some through neutrality (such as the Eire - though Eire supplied some important secret information to the Allies; D-Day's date was decided on the basis of incoming Atlantic weather information supplied from Ireland - Sweden, and Switzerland), others through strategic insignificance (Mexico).

The war ravaged civilians more severely than any previous conflict and served as a backdrop for genocidal killings by Nazi Germany as well as several other mass slaughters of civilians which, although not technically genocide, were significant.

These included the massacre of millions of Chinese and Korean nationals by Japan, internal mass killings in the Soviet Union, and the bombing of civilian targets in German and Japanese cities by the Allies. In total, World War II produced about 50 million deaths, more than any other war to date.

Ofcourse i am going to need some help with this project so i will be calling upon some very lucky people to join my project in making a World of Warcraft Private Server that has never been made before.

Staff Positions:

• Website Developer 0/2
• In-game Developer 1/10 - SolomonGM
• C++ Developer 0/2
• Lua Developer 0/2
• Noggit Developer 0/4

Information on the Positions:

• Website Developer - You will be the websites designing team... You will design our website, and keep it bug from and up-to date. Constantly finding new things to add to it.
  
• In-game Developer - You are the one who makes the items, Including Weapons, Armor, and Misc. Items. You will also design the malls and cities, and add to the noggit zones.
  
• C++ Developer - You are the Main Scripter and you are in-charge of the Core. You build the Custom PVP System, the World Announce system. You build the Battles.
  
• Lua Developer - You make the NPC's Come to life. You will also build teleporters.
  
• Noggit Developer - You are the landscape designer. You are the one that makes this project come to life. you make the Islands and Beaches such as Dog Green Sector and Iwo'Jima. You will also be revamping the major cities to match their Occupators (Nazi's, Americans, French, British, Italians, and the Russians)

Scripting (Im horrible at it haha)

As the leader of a project this big you should be the one directing and making most of it; not getting other people to do it for you while you do the easy jobs. =/
I advise you get to grips with what you are trying to do before you actually try doing any of this.

This is certainly a very ambitious project, and I wish all the luck in the world. While I agree with some of the previous comments it is important to remember that this project will take many months, and will require more than C++, SQL, and lua. You will need to have expierence altering DBC files and possibly even more (depending how far your going to go on the WW2). Your biggest obstacle besides that is keeping interest in the project after months have passed. You may grow old or tired of this, and if so (especially as the projects administrator), it would terminate the project's progress.

While I realize that my post probably will discourage you, this is a very tough project to take on and I think you should realize this up front. If you want this to be successful, you should spend at the very least 2 or 3 months developing a gameplan. This includes coding standards and practices, along with a project roadmap, ect.

Hopefully you realize the scale, time, and effort that this project will require. And if you do decide to continue on, good luck

Thanks guys for the great feedback...

I understand what Harry meens about developers doing the hard work, and me doing the easy work... so i will see what i can learn, ill look at guides on how to do LUA Scriping, and from Vindicated's idea i will start doing a road map...

*I will also be using noggit (Which i am Good at) To design Custom Island such as Iow'Jima (However you spell it)... I know this will take some time, but im sure i can put all my heart and best of interest in it... And if i ever terminate the project then i will keep all the files just incase i want to come back to it!

*The "special" Zone Developers will not be doing any scripting let me just put that out there, they will be the ones using noggit also and designing famous battles...
