Haha yeah i think thats what most peopel are doing but thats the problem (sorta) see if arcemu/aspire/somegayascentemusomefgtcreated all merged together we would have a much better emulator to play with. I know this has been said before many times but this is one of the reasons were behind.

Thats because any SMART project leader would know how much work it would take to do something like that it how much they would see for a 25% chance of it working anyways.

This is what I believe will occur:

servers relying on public emulators like Arcemu, Aspire and MaNGOS will fall behind and eventually die off

Servers will private emulators like WoWBeeZ, WoWScape, WoWlegacy & Chronic-Domination will rule the private server scence even more than they do now, I believe these 4 servers will hold at least 90% of the players, they already hold around 70%.

Many famous dev's are moving into private emulation scene, Walla now works exclusivly for WoWBeeZ. It seems the days of 100's of private servers, and many of them the owners dont even know simple SQL syntax, is about to end, and this is something I'm happy to see.

With only 10 servers actually holding players blizzard will just step in and shut them down. We NEED more than 10 servers holding players. And just because the old emulation guys are heading off to private doesn't mean we don't have up and comming emulations fags.

It wont happen until more experienced coders join the community, or people actually learn some coding and contribute.

We already have a lot of good coders here. They just need to apply themselves.

FYI like 90% of those emulators and their fixes are from the 3 public ones you mentioned. Don't know about Arcemu, Aspire , but MaNGOS won't be dieing anywhere since theres hundreds of people doing fixes for it.

I think they will if you have the right server. (Te He He \/ \/ \/ ) I have looked at several and it looks like a lot of them are not the developers main project but if you get a server that is you are in much better shape.

When you register put Drakeon as your referrer.
It's the coolest emulator out there with 13x xp and tons of other perks.
    Here's the link.

What kinda person is happy to see the collapse of a community? stupid communist....

And second off that will never happen cause we all know some one proclaiming to be the jesus of emulation is gonna pull all our us together to one emulator again, sadly thats starting to look toward mangos though. But it can go either way cause eventually arcs gonna get out of this rut they're in and Aspire is doing pretty good too. Maybe the big servers will be number one but never will they monopolize the emulation scene. You probably think i'm wrong but if you haven't noticed they're are hundreds of people contributing is some small way to the emulation scene at the moment if private emulators took over it wouldn't last long. Humans are selfish and power-hungry but not stupid. We'll relize that what we love is dying away and we'll get out of the rut the emulation scene is in and Rise back to the top. The same way ascent brought us together in the past, some emulator will bring the scene together again in the future.

    well possibly =/
