No, its not the fact they did it in C#, its the fact they use to many resources and external libraries and how they made it.(You'll spend 1 hour trying to find one handler, certain function, variable, etc).
good luck yo with the new emu ;]
Payed Dev', never heard that before.
Imo, you shouldn't have to pay your developers its their choice to do it if they wish. Thats how you get the good ones not the ones who just want money and if they dont get paid will leak things the day after. Also, C++ isn't a rough language you can learn it fast just have to have a little bit of stress management when you do it. I have been at this for 2-3 yrs and i stick with it but my stuffs closed source.

ahahaha. :P I know i was bored and thought it be funny.
keeping shit closed source just perpetuates the notion that pretty much says, "hey look at me im better than all of you because i wrote some scripts/programs in C++ and i dont want to share any of it because none of you can have it because you are all noobs and leachers and whatnot"
does that sound like good community spirit? of course not, it shouldn't matter if you wrote something 100% yourself or used other parts of someone elses code, ITS ALL FOR LEARNING, and instead of flaming someone for using something of yours and not giving credits or w/e or even giving credits people still flame; you should be happy that someone else likes your stuff so much that they want to use it, they want to try and (hopefully) learn something from it, and keeping things closed source and away from the community prevents that, it prevents the entire community spirit and just continues the notion that "**** everybody else, im better than all of them, so why should I give them stuff?" which is just a shitty look on the whole situation!
FREE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER!!!!
Edit: This isnt completey directed to you Scyther, its more directed towards the entire scene, i apologize if you think im flaming you, im really not![]()
You clearly don't know what you are talking about...
Anyways...
Instead of starting up your own team, why not directly donate and work with one of the already existing teams. They would appreciate the funding and extra resources and you will enjoy having a successful open source emulator for the masses.
Win win.

C++ not a rough language? Learning the syntax, keywords, processors, data types, interopability stuff, windows, registers, stack, heap, etc isn't easy.
Open Source fails, at least from my point. Example:
Some server use Sun++ scripts, they continue working on it, fix few stuff but also continue to use Sun++ new commits and stuff. They should share it. No one does that xept some of developers like Andy, Burlex and Marcelo, and few other guys always share fixes with Sun++. So point is there are a lot people use your work but not give anything in return. That is why here Open Source fails, but i <3 public projects and contributing to them. Btw a lot of people don't even want to report bugs and crashes than they start to Yell: "SUN PLUS PLUS SUCKS, I INSTALLED IT ON MY SERVER LALALA!" l2 report.

It is not about money, it is about private/public.
