    Why use a repack -.-

Why use a repack, your limited to what you can do, allot of leacher's are using repacks and when they cant get it to work, the QQ and post flames, or stupid help questions, just because they didn't follow step by step....

Its not hard to compile a server/repack it almost does it, its self..... i mean come on seriously. For people who are planing on making a server and making it dedicated...
and having it stick around for a long time, like the top ten.. my suggestion to you all is to.....

    DON'T USE A F'ing REPACK!!

Don't get me wrong, repacks are good for learning, and Fixing everything or the major problems to release a DB, but like i said if you are planing on making it DED. and Holding allot of people, PLEASE don't use a repack... If you want to learn to compile.. post a reply and i will update this with all the links of posts i found that walk you through compiling and finding a DB.

    Post your opnions

    Why use a repack -.-

    Repacks.

    Advantages:
    - Very fast
    - Easy
    - Learn a lot
    - Instant DB
    - See other peoples content easily

    Disadvantages:

    - Can not update
    - Bugs
    - You didn't make it
    - Cant implant any C++ or edit anything coded in C++

My views are pretty self explanitory from this

How is it useless -.- This is Server Discussion, Correct?
We are talking about pretty much repacks vs Compiling your own server.

My list of disadvantages IMO :P
    - Malware can be implanted in the core or repack.
    - You cannot add scripts or custom edits.
    - You cannot update it.
    - You have NO clue what your doing, just clicking 4 programs.

Well i've been in the emulation community just that i havent been active in mmowned. I been around since wow emu, AFG Warriorz Repacks, American93 all those good old times. Back when those repacks were out, no one really knew what they were doing. But when TBC came out emulation changed for ever. We became more sophisticated. The emulation community started growing people were starting to make alot of great repacks I can name a few, Illidan1, Greed, Gasp, Knaur. But now since wotlk not much people have been making repacks, everyone is more advance into the core and applying patches and such and compiling their own versions of Arcemu. Well my point is that i learned from wowemu and AFG Warriorz Repack and others from back there. Their very helpfull if your learning and want to get into the emulation community. But they have disadvantages. Compiling your own version of arcemu has more advantages so you can edit different areas of the game.
