wow.. flamage!
I would like to point out that repacks are good when dealing with large custom databases because of the fact its custom.
Repacks are great for playing with your friends, or a small server... But once you start getting a large number of players you need to think about editing and compiling the core yourself, and creating your own custom database etc.
You can eliminate a lot of the disadvantages stated if you use a repack, and just use the database and complie the core yourself(To make it the most effective use the same rev as old core)Then you have a core you can edit, and a great starting out database.
Are you serious?
What can you fix on a repack.. Like you can't even do anything on a repack.
I used to use repacks when:
I ONLY use repacks when i'm too lazy to compile,
I want to test something (stair event or such)
Or it looked like a good repack.
You can't have a server that runs off a repack. Even if your planning to get somewhere with your server you CAN'T with a repack. Because you can't edit the core, and it's harder to update your repack. I'm just saying not FLAMING, just saying some truth![]()
I agree with Stoneharry completely.![]()
Repacks can be very dangerous in come cases, and can contain unwanted things. And cause alot of problems for your computer because you don't know what that person could have done to the source code etc of the emulator that they used or to the database or any other file inside the folder I don't suggest it i suggest learning to compile.
