Fix to connection problems 3.03 and up

Ok well I have seen many forums with people complaining they cant connect.

Well if you reinstalled Wow through the wowinstaller, on patch day, you most likely have this problem.

I have found 2 ways of doing this. You can either change the realmlist in game or in the folder a certain way.


For ingame:

Make a shortcut to wow.exe, right click and select property's, edit it so i tlooks like this.
"C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Launcher.exe" -console

remember the -console, without it, this wont work.

Ok once your ready, click on that shortcut, once wow opens, press ~ key.
This key is right next the 1 key. Once you do that, a black box will pop down, this is what you type:

set realmlist (Realmlsit)

Press enter, then the ~ key again to close the box.

Then simply login.

Well last night I figured out another way of doing this.

In the game folder:

Well ussaly just editing the one wtf file was enough, well not anymore.

You need to go to data/enus/ there will be another realmlist file in there, this contains a portal in it, even if you delete it, it will come back.

Just save that whole realmlist for when you go back to retail.
Put in set realmlist (realmlist here) .

This works most of the time, if it doesnt, do the console.


Remember, not everyone has this problem, but some do.

Do you know how many people are having this problem, I finally found how to get past it. Your flaming is not needed so go QQ in a corner.

Interesting to say the least. I already knew about the console but could only get some of the commands to work, i'm going to have a long 'fiddle' with it now

Doesn't matter any more Arcemu and HS have 3.0.8 working.

Smartone, I helped with Arcs 3.08. Doesnt matter the core, its a realmlist problem.
