The 5 best servers get run down by a threat by blizzard , the others still continue having their server LOL. I can't believe they really want to wait until Blizzard does something XD

These guys are the true definition of what it means to have balls , kudos to the servers high ranked on xtremetop100 and still running.

Some are probably not in the US. WoWScape is still up(on 2.4.3 i think), WoWTrance is up(on 2.4.3), and some others though.

Well... a DMCA notice is a US copyright law. I'm sure they could take some action though if your outside the US.

I just feel bad for the fact that people that are playing private server and putting their time and effort into it don't realize that it's all going to be put down REALLY soon.
Blizzard is scared that people starting to like Private Servers more, but IDK over few years that it's been happening more and more people start leaving WoW retail , as well New people that don't know about the Private servers play WoW Because they think they are better then everyone else.
Eh, sad thing is that Private Server made it so much more interesting of a gameplay, with special things that you had on them.
I want Toxic WoW to be back with them perfect 8x rates <3

Well Toxic WoW had a realm in Europe and its down so I don't know about the only in Us thing because World Of Warcraft also sells wow outside the states so that wouldn't make sense..

Not entirely, if you live in the US, the DMCA applies to you, not the software/host/etc you use.

It is best to get someone out the country to host it for you.

Toxic was a scam..

Aether was making money hand over fist, over-exaggerating the stats of the server, and not fixing hardly a thing.

I'm glad he got shut down, just as I am a lot of the others. We need the top ranks filled with servers who actually care. It's one thing to not fix much because you're hosting it for free...but when you're pulling in 3k a month in donations POCKET MONEY (not server hosting charges), quit your cashier job at the grocery store and fix things.

..that's my 2 cents.
