Personaly I think hamachi is the perfect source to run local servers on or to learn. Seriously, I learnt more from a hamachi server than I would of in 2 weeks of uni.

Hamachi = Perfect the complete noobs who want to learn.
Opening ports = The next big step, but not something to jump into.

    Thats my opinion anyway

Bingo. Hamachi is actually harder than using localhost or just opening a couple of ports.

Yea Agreed ecp.....some people don't need it and some people do take it you have verizon and there actually cheep enough to block the port 80 for your website you can still use it because of hamichi its just a matter of extra steps which most people dont want to do

I agree to an extent, but if you just want something for your friends/buddies to **** around on then it's good.

lol well poart of this is wrong because when i started out i used himachi and i had 30 people on most of the day but then i finally figured out how to forward port ^^ anyway soon as i got dyndns my life became so much easier without it so yeh its alot more complicated/harder but still there are quite a few server who use himachi and they still get a decent amount of traffic but i still wouldnt recommend it.

If you want to host a public server.. Don't use Hamachi..
If its only for having some friends on the server, then its best to use it.

Hamachi is used as a LAN emulator for games and other applications that you can't host over internet. Why the hell use it when hosting a wow server? Just open the ports.

Hamachi isn't really designed for WoW (I hope)
But still for example if you want to host a server but you can't port forward or any issues like that, you should rather find a host for your server, since there's really few people that's up to hamachi.

Well i must pretty agree with
