    Emu Question and Hello

I'd like to say Hi to the community for starters.

I'm not a programming wizard or anything as I really don’t know any languages, but I would like to learn. I love emulation projects and find it very interesting what you can do with them.

I would like to know (in a non-biased, non-flaming way lol) what emus there are, and the "state" of them.

And far as "best" goes, that's subject to Interpretation. What may be best to one, might not be to another. However, what my primary interests in an emulator are:
    • Most feature rich
    • Frequently updated
    • Most comparatively accurate
    • Easy to use
    • Flexible

I understand nothing is 100% (to date) and it's a ongoing process.

I know so far of these:
    Emulators:
    • ArcEmu
    • Mangos
    • OpenAscent (?)
    • Wcell

    DBs:
    • UDB
    • NCDB
    • whyDB

I really don't know too much about ArcEmu, Wcell, or OpenAscent (if it's still around) and for DBs WhyDB or NCDB. I did do some looking around but it's hard to determine if you really don't know much about a particular scene.

Thanks in advance for the info.

I highly suggest ArcEmu for you to start off.
As for databases, if you want blizzlike go for NCDB - Next Chapter Database - or if you want a funserver database, go with AgencyDB, found in this forum.
