problem accessing server remotely

we are using mangos and are having trouble making our server public

we have our server setup using a DNS entered in the reamlist SQL file

and from the computer hosting the server he can connect just fine using the DNS name in his client realmist.wtf file. however I cannot connect using the exact same dns name.

It is weird because he can connect using the DNS which is the public address...... but i cannot connect using the same address.

we have tried forwarding all of the necessary ports, tried DMZ+, tried connecting directly to modem.

we tried changing the bindip to the dns name in the mangosd and realmd folders and the server runs but same connection symtoms ( cannot connect from a different computer)

Did the hoster open port 8085 and 3724? Also did he turn off firewall/antivirus?

yeah we tried unblocking all ports and even completely bypassing the firewall/router and hooking directly to the modem. I'm at work now but we are gonna try different ports if for some reason his ISP is blocking those ports or something on his computer is locking them up, but other than that we have everything exactly like that guide.

I told him to go with ascent in the 1st place but he did mangos, i blame him :-P
