I suppose they are, but why would you tax people that are giving you free money? Just try to convince more people to donate.

LOL I'm assuming you're talking about a donation on an emulated server.

Imagine talking to a tax specialist about that:

*Ummm....yeah, I recieved like 200$ for hosting an illegal product on the internet, do I have to pay on it???*

But, if it were for a legitimate product, then yeah, let them know.

If you use paypal then they charge like a 3% fee from the donation.
If you need me you have my skype, if you don't have my skype then you don't need me.

Whether or not private servers are illegal is up for question. Paying taxes is just plain ****ing illegal. Dont mess with the IRS. Lol that rhymed.

LOL there is no question involved, otherwise any type of 'legal loophole' would have been 'hotfixed' a long time ago.

Reverse engineering is protected by US law. We payed for the software we should be able to do what the **** we want with it. Blizzard doesnt deserve the monthly fee on private servers because 1. they dont pay for the bandwidth 2. The community has to work for the updates to work.
