[Help] Setting up Voice chat in game

Alright, well I did a bit of searching and found how to configure my voice chat settings. The server for voice chat is now up, but I don't understand how to start talking to people in game. I thought it had something to joining an in game channel with someone, but I did that and we can't hear each other. I just have a feeling I am doing something so completely wrong and stupid that I am going to regret posting this. Anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

EDIT: I suppose this thread can die, because Ascent 2.4 doesn't have voice chat working unless I did something wrong, because under my sound options there are no tabs for voice chat. I apologize for wasting your time.

Hi i tried the Voice Chat as well does not seem to work, however if you would like to use Voice chat get TeamSpeak its a really awsome Voice Chat app.
