[Question] Where is GM Island?

Whitekidney. The GM island is located in the northwestern corner of Kalimdor yes, have you checked the map he did so you understand why Ari wrote as he did?

Yes it is.
You cant fly there, nor speedhack (only if you have a world edit).

Its in the northwestern corner of Kalimdor.

according to wowwiki it is correct... and this would be the worldmap:


it used to be NW from teldrasil but now it isnt anymore.... it says... anyway it cant be if you check ingame coords... they are:
x: 16000+ y: 16000+ z: 12+ mapID=1
So its somewhere FAR to the southeast.... -> i doubt about that... impossible they made the world that big xD

I tested some mapaddons...some show an island NW of teldrasil but when player is on GMisland you cant see it on addon... even with the air cam you cant see your char anyhow it could be...
note: i remember when you were on GMisland or emerald dream or something that you could find your invisible char in the middle of the worldmap of azeroth

the farther down you go the more the numbers go into the negatives not positives :P also programmers island and designers island are on their own map so it can't be accurate.

however the spots on the map might symbolize the actual locations.

I browsed here and there for a some time, then i downloaded the world build bridge to gm isle, it worked perfectly, full gm gear /flex.

And, the gm island is in the top left corner of map, you have to zoom out to the spot it shows both continents, so when you run to the isle, upon reaching GM island your character arrow completely disappears. It's a long run, get a speedhack...

erm you cant run from kalimdor to GMisland , GMisland is seperated from the rest...
Anyway about the island in the top left corner... yes there is one but i zoomed in with some kind of satalite addon and it doesnt look like GMisland... allthough there is one with a graveyard! Maybe that is GMisland as you say and the other island in the middle of the map symbolizes GMisland...
Anyway if you check coords GMisland should be in southeast...
coords system work upside down on the map if i am correct....
Soutn = Y+
North = Y -
East = X +
West = X -
Down = Z -
Up = Z +

I have also checked the cords for sure. And its NW. Stand in darnassus and check cords. Go a few steps to NE and check cords again. X and Y raises.

Go to GMisland and check cords. the cords are x2, therefor its NW

And it's possible to go to GM island with model edit (atleast was, done it)

Programmers and designers isle are in an instance but used to be located on Eastern Kingdoms way to the right off the map.

GM island is northwest of Teldrassil. If you need proof of this open up wow map viewer and fly way out there or you can use the worldedit and a speedhack to do it on live/private realms.


Where the fold over is on the top left is where GM isle is, also that map is very messed up Plunder isle is gilligims broken isles is in the wrong place : /

I dont know if it still works, but SWG released a program for that. It worked in 2.2.3 if I remember correct You cant access programmmer island anymore but GM Island is still possible Let me find a link...

Gm island is the isle right in the corner, it isn't that close to Kalimdor though, I just didn't want a huge picture.

well i know its there... i have seen it with yatlas too...
but if i am correct GM island moved from one location to another in one the updates long ago no? i remember something that it was between the 2 big continents... but it could be my brain that is ****ed too cuz i have hardcore schoolwork now :-/ Yey magnetic propulsion

I used bikermans mpq and ran all way to gm island from nightelf start loc..took about 40 min with insane speedhack.. (Yes it was live, on a trial account.. The account did not get banned.. )
