heidisql question

i can connect to heidisql fine, and begin to edit my WoW private server database, but i have a friend who is going to help me edit my database, how do i let him into my database to edit it? he is trying to use heidiSQL and Hamachi. we connect in Hamachi, i connect to my server via HeidiSQL, when he types in my Hamachi IP into the HeidiSQL Hostname/IP box, then enters a username and password i made for him, it says that he does not have permission to enter the databse. any clues?

You need to enable remote acsess when configuring MySQL

You have to reconfigure it, and then when your picking your password, there should be a little box saying "Enable remote acess" or something like that

so i need to reconfigure heidisql? and if this is so, this is where im having trouble, i cannot find where to reconfigure heidisql, i have tried to redownload it and i still have not seen anywhere asking for a password or to configure anything, thanks for all the help btw

Not Heidi, I mean MySQL Server. Like 5.0 or 5.1 or whichever your using

when i try to run mysql (not heidi) command prompt pops up, then closes, and nothing happens

Search MySQL in your computer, you should find something that's called "MySQL Configuration Tool" and use that
