[Help] Why do i get server lag???

Look into overclocking that pentium D. Those chips can run hot too. If you do overclock make sure you have ample cooling.

Also what type of hdd you running IDE or SATA?

2. Video cards, have NO effect on server lag, when its on the server.
3. You spent all this time helping him when his problem was clearly, his comp is too slow to run a server and play WoW at the same time.

umm yea it does if he's ram is to low=SLOW COMPUTER if computer is slow
program wont run
ram makes your computer run more programs faster so if he's CPU go from 0% to almost 90% he's program is going to shutdown and he's connection with his ISP will be slower n00b:wave:

I have pretty nice computer that runs the server just fine and several other programs, and when people PvP the server lags, so I've come to the conclusion that my internet upload speed is too low (around 300 kb/s or whatever it is measured in, when it should be AT LEAST 500 kb/s)

what are your connection details? what is your upload and download speed? those are important to have lagg-free servers....

i checked out speakeasy.com for my internet speed i get 3mb download and almost 500kb upload so idk if thats contributing to having like 14ppl

490kb upload speed is a bit low to host a public server.... that is probably the lagg problem

Its probally your computer, Upgrade your specs, and it should be good
