{noob} looking for some help on reading wow mem

I know there are a lot of noobs screaming for help on the forums but I was just wondering if anyone could send me a guide/ explanation of reading memory I understand we need an address to find specific data in a game. But pointers base address ect make -90% sense to me.

Any help would but amazing

if pointers dont make sense, then you should study up on c/c++ and x86 architecture before you try to do any reversing.

I suggest first reading about how pointers and structures and related data works (int, float, byte, arrays.. etc) in C++ perhaps. Then move on to reading about how ReadProcessMemory works and check out a library for using it in your language of choice.

I suggest MemorySharp or some version of BlackMagic the memory sections of the code if you're interested in C#. From there simply start reading some simple stuff like a static pointer for current target guid, and trial and error and google away up the ladder.
