[question/idea] Random values and events

For random values in wow, would it be able to freeze them once they come up?

For example, looting a frost lotus from a node is a random event, for when you find the frost lotus, would it be possible to freeze that value so you can loot the frost lotus from every node you pick up?

Same could be used to skinning (arctic fur), prospecting (epic gems) or mining (blue quality gems like scarlet rubys)

Also, never did it for wow.
