    Static Address of Local Player Object

    Hi,

    I've been using GetLocalizedText for some time, and it's working great. Atm I'm using the object manager, to find the local player object, to use as the first parameter. But I'm trying to reduce the lines of code I have, so i was wondering if instead of using the object manager, is there a static place i can look for the local player object?

    Are you thinking a combination of the following two?
    Code:
    GetActivePlayerGUID found at 0x4763A0
    GetObjectByGUID found at 0x4779A0
    I know it's offsets, but offsets from what? ClientConnection?

    Alright, can i get the prototypes or do i have to do that myself?
    My guess would be
    Code:
    long GetActivePlayerGUID();
    wowobject* GetObjectByGUID(long GUID);

    ?
    You can use that, yeah.
    There are also static addresses in WoW's memory space that contains the baseaddress of the local player.

    Guids are unsigned long longs. There's a better struct to use that's on the wow hacking wiki.
