Sure, you might be able to do hacks and bots etc etc for windows, but when it comes to OSX you obviously don't know anything so I suggest you shut your mouth.

You say that the user base has an average IQ of 5? Partly right yes, but only the part of the user base that you have ever interacted with - the gaming part.

If any self-respecting mac developer for some reason wanted to hack a game, he could do so in a heart-beat. But then again, why would he?

The user base that play games on the mac, let alone the small part of those that are interested in hacking or exploiting/botting the game, simply isn't big enough for anyone to be remotely interested in doing a real mac hack project.

Don't go around talking shit about the OS or its userbase, based on stuff you don't know.

I get emails/pms/ims/etc CONSTANTLY from so called "mac developers" who think they can code. 99% of them ask how to do the MEF, I give them a step by step guide on how to do it under Windows and how to replicate that under a mac. Most of them reply asking dumb**** questions like "what is IDA" and "can you send me C++ code pls". The rest just don't reply at all and seem to fail silently.

Out of the 30+ people who have attempted the MEF (which is quite easy to do) NONE of them have succeeded. I don't know what so called "mac developers" you know, but they sure as hell don't know as much as the Windows guys around here.

Also, wtf do you mean why would they want to hack a game? Isn't it obvious, to gain an advantage, thats what ALL hacks are done for, what a retarded question.

Also, theres LOTS of interest in Mac hacks, just look at the Mac threads around here and the constant requests kynox and I get for Mac hacks. The fact of the matter is, it seems that 99.99% of Mac developers don't know their platform for shit, or just don't have the basic skill needed to pull of writing hacks (due to the seemingly low average IQ of the common Mac user).

PS. Last time I checked I can program hacks and you can't, so I'm in a much better position than you are.

Didn't you get my post AT ALL? I basically said it outright to you, THE MAC DEVELOPERS WORTH SHIT AREN'T INTO GAMING. The only so called "mac developers" you know are people who think they can hack WoW using applescript.

Also, wtf do you mean why would they want to hack a game? Isn't it obvious, to gain an advantage, thats what ALL hacks are done for, what a retarded question.
Read my post again. I'm saying why would any mac developer worth his salt bother with hacking a game he couldn't care for?

Fact is, there ISN'T A MAC HACKING COMMUNITY. The "developers" you are refering to are simply kids who read an online tutorial on how to make a Hello World program.

Want me to say it again? There aren't any mac hacking developers. Not "real" hacking developers anyway, anyone can create a keystroke bot using applescript. Thats not what I'm talking about.

You are talking shit about an entire community you don't know ANYTHING about, based on the fact that you have met people thinking they CAN hack WoW in mac.

Drop the know-it-all cockiness and admit the fact that you don't know anything about mac's, or developing on them.

But yeah, your right. The average IQ of your so-called "mac developers" are below 5. Then again, your idea of a mac developer is a kid wanting to change his weapons model in WoW.
Don't judge an entire community and userbase on a few users.

Next time you decide to talk shit about something, I suggest you get your facts straight first.

Would you mind explaining WHY there are no decent devs into games on Macs, there are plenty on Windows. Theres obviously lots of interest for hacking on the Mac platform but noone knows how to do it.

Also, given the new macs run on the same architecture as PCs I already know more than you do (IA-32 ASM). You fail, that is all.

I'll gladly explain to you AGAIN, why there are no "decent devs" for mac gaming hacks. (After I'm done chuckling at your immature use of "youfail" pictures and the likes, that is)

I just said it, didn't I? The mac community, let alone the gaming part of it is much smaller. Now take the tiny part of the already tiny mac gaming community, that are into hacking these games. NOW take the tiny part of those that are on mmowned! Not alot is there?

You are judging ALL mac developers on the ones who hang out on mmowned? These aren't even developers you are referring too!

In fact, there are almost no "real" developers on mmowned, AT ALL! Even for windows. And no, making a auto-it bot doesn't count as being a developer.

You are ignoring about everything I say, sticking to your same tired old opinion that all mac developers suck.

You say there is obviously lots of interest - not so much. The reason you only see people requesting it on mac is because there are none, so they request it. Lets see what would have happened if we removed ALL the WoW hacks and bots from the forum for one week? It would be flooded with requests. For windows. The mac part would be a tiny drop in the ocean.

Now, I'll make it PAINFULLY clear, as you haven't understood it the last 2 times.

Would you mind explaining WHY there are no decent devs into games on Macs, there are plenty on Windows. Theres obviously lots of interest for hacking on the Mac platform but noone knows how to do it.
Because the MAC HACKING COMMUNITY IS EXTREMELY SMALL, basically non-existant.
(And yes, I am repeating myself, but it seems I have to say things 3 times before you get it)

Now - before you reply to this with another immature picture and an epic fail notice - obviously without reading my post first - I'd like you to go check out some of the proper mac dev communities. Start with ADC perhaps? No, didn't think you would.

There is NO interest in the mac developing community to hack wow. And that means every mac developer sucks balls? Every mac developer you know, yes. Then again, you know about 10 people who have read a book on the subject and think they are god. You don't know shit about the mac developing community, so I suggest you stop talking down to it.

So please, before you reply go talk to some real mac developers.

So please, before you reply go talk to some real mac developers.

Programs written using only the STL and the builtin language features can be compile to run on Macs, Windows, Linux, etc. So
actually I already know a lot more about mac development than you do. So if thats your main argument, that I don't know anything about Mac development, well you know less than I do so should you really be talking?

I don't know why you're referring me to "mac devleoping communities", pretty much noone in "windows developing communities" are interested in gamehacking either. All the people like that go to places like MPC, GD, etc (and to a lesser extent MMowned). Theres a big difference between the people you're referring to ('normal' developers) and those interested in game hacking (which requries a TOTALLY different skillset). Because of the different skillset required the communities are totally difference. Knowledge in RCE is not required to write software, but it IS to hack games, its obviously you don't know the first thing about game hacking or programming, and as such you're in the wrong section, so please gtfo.

Right, so for one: Did I ever say I'm a game hack coder/developer? No. Did I ever talk shit about your programs or skills? No.

I'm reacting to the fact that you are straight out bashing every mac developer on the planet. I'm responding to you saying you are talking shit about everyone, based on a few people who thought they could code.

You are BASHING a NON-EXISTANT community and group. But by doing so you are also bashing the part of it that does exist.

I'm also beginning to think you can't read english properly, as you are blatantly twisting around on my words.

No, my main argument is not that you don't know anything about Mac developing. You don't know enough about the Mac or its community itself. If you'd had any idea, you'd know that the userbase who games on the mac is so small, so extremely small, that there aren't any serious hacking developers. Now why the bloody hell are you talking shit about the entire mac developing community? Can you please answer me on that? Instead of twisting everything around and going on the offense again?
Just cause you can hack a game and have reputation on this site doesn't make you god.

Oh, and next time - drop the pictures. You're just making a fool out of yourself.

Whereas Cypher might be making an improper generalization based on the small number of Mac users he comes in contact with, you're not making matters any better by exhibiting the exact characteristics of the "common Mac user" he's flaming. You keep backpedaling and attempting to reiterate things that have already been addressed, leading me to believe your IQ can't be that much bigger than your shoe size (and, probably, much smaller).

HAY CYPHER I NEVRR IMPUNED UR NOWLEDG OF MACHAX EVENTHO I JUST DID HUR HUR. Seriously, he--and everyone else, for that matter--is just laughing at you. And you getting upset at his use of pictures only makes it funnier. You're welcome to stop being a douchebag whenever you want.

"backpedaling and attempting to reiterate things that have already been addressed"? Whoa, you almost made me laugh there. Almost.

He just said basically said that he knows more about mac's because he can code for windows, and then compile it on a mac.

I'm not sure who the douchebag is, the guy bashing an entire community or the one trying to reasonably argue with him?

Oh and yes I'm so upset because he throws nasty ugly pictures at me I'm afraid that my 56k connection in addition to my crappy mac can't take it.
No. Seriously. I just think its a bit laughable that you can't have a civilized argument without the use of "gtfo's", "youfail's", and "youfail/gtfo/wtf" pictures.

Quite frankly I'm not doing this caus I really care, I'm doing it because your reactions are hillarious. Keep up the good work I love a good laugh.

Also, you obviously know nothing about programming. You're not "code for windows then comiling on a mac", you're coding platform independently then compiling for your target platform. Please learn to program before you come here and question those who can. Thank you, that is all.

Actually, re-read what you just said and you'll be surprised.

And no, I'm not questioning your coding skills against mine, or anything like that, so drop the "i'm pro" cockiness. Please re-read my first post. I'm questioning why the hell you were attacking every mac developer out there. I couldn't really give a damn what you know and don't, but you sure as hell don't have the right to basically call every mac user a retard.

I've done some basic reading of WoW's process space on OSX, but that's it.

I used the standard (and extremely powerful) ptrace UNIX system call. If you want more information, I'd start out with what has to be your first step, working around the builtin protections of using ptrace on recent versions of OSX (as opposed to Linux, where there are no such protections on using ptrace):
