[PQR] Priest Holy/Disc PvE

Lantus! I'm really excited to see active work occurring on Disc priests!

I've been playing with your new profile a bit, and have a few suggestions:
1. Your PoH implementation won't work in raid settings. In LFR, Disc is terrible, since you have to cast it per-group, but it doesn't appear that it does anything here at all. I suspect the same will occur in 10 man. Right now, I'm using Alt-left click on Vuhdo for PoH, so it pauses your rotation for AoE heals.
2. Your Smite/Holy Fire implementation is spot on, better than the other profiles I've used.
3. It should probably try to use alternate heals (GHeal, Heal) when you have no Smite target. I haven't seen that work yet, but it may just be those need some variable tweaking.
4. Need a constant method for Power Word Shield for Rapture. ID the tanks, and keep it up on them.

Please keep up the good work! This was VERY needed in the community, and my skills at this are BAD, and mods to existing profiles weren't much help. thank you!

TBH, I don't know much about Disc priests, and priest is my alt so I don't get to play it as much. The reason behind the heal/greater heal/flash heal not casting is because I was told that those heals should only be used if borrowed time is active. So without that buff, it will just smite/holy fire.

If you could, please make a list of suggestions and I'll see what I can do to tweak things around. Thanks.

Just curious, if you are atonement healing, why would there be a need to even cast heal? I can take the borrowed time check off of flash/greater heal, and it will just cast that when a certain player gets below certain percentage. But from research those heals aren't supposed to be used unless borrowed time is up; I looked over logs from worldoflogs on disc priest and they seemed to not even cast those spells either unless borrowed time was up; unless I am blindly missing something, more input would be appreciated. Thanks.

also yea power world shield shoudl always be used on tank to proc your rapture forgot to mention that lantus but your right about borrowed time i checked as well.

Hi Lantus,
I agree about Borrowed time, but there are some conditions I think it may be necessary.

1. No target for Atonement healing. Maybe add a target check to those heals and rank them above Smite?
2. Emergency heals. Perhaps I'll take the condition off of Flash Heal for this one.

Regarding Prayer of Healing, the Nova profiles have an interesting way to handle multiple groups, with a defined function called PerfectAoETarget. The rest of it doesn't work very well for me (hence why I'm using your profile ).

Regarding Power Word: Shield. Yes please! Whether it's through a Focus, or there's a way to ID and define tanks and keep it up on them automatically, I'll take it!

by the way everytime you use power word shield your borrow time should proc too.

Atonement healing is really good. Very reactive and pushing out solid numbers.
Spirit Shell implementation is fairly useless without some type of Prayer of Healing logic to go with it.
Regardless - with tons of crit this is still the best disc priest profile atm.

This... btw I have heard that holy dps is fun and I saw one in lfr pushing 80k dps lawl

One other thing I'd like to see is auto-casting Archangel @ 5 stacks of Evangelism. Real pain in the ass manually clicking it right now.

- PW: Shield will always be cast on tank or players with threat/agro
- Tweaked Cascade and PoH to work better
- Greater/Flash Heals will now also be used w/o borrowed time buff, only at 65% / 50%, for emergencies?
- Archangel will be used at 5 stack if any players drop below 70% hp
- Added auto Desperate Prayer when player HP falls below 50%

The new update is amazing. Really nice work.
You definitely know what you are doing and can't wait to see how these profiles advance in the future.

Current Testing Feedback -

*I've had the profile get stuck in a constant casting animation. Something is causing it to hang.
At the time I wasn't running PQInterface so I couldn't tell exactly which spell it was getting stuck on.
I've loaded PQInterface and I'll keep an eye on it to see if it happens again.

Does it look like its casting a holy spell or a shadow spell? I've seen it before when I was testing it.

- Shadow casting animation is shadow fiend/mind bender, it does that when the mob get out of los
- if its a holy casting looking one, I think its the dispel, the target its trying to dispel got moved out of los or out of range; causing it to spam cast on yourself (not sure how to fix this one yet)

Aye, it's definitely a holy spell. I was also thinking it was dispel, but wanted to make sure.
