Using other abilities while CR is running

I know I can add modifiers in the CR so I can use hot-key to activate abilities, but is there a way to just have the routine... pause? while the ability I'm trying to use is used? For example heroic leap. I don't like using the modifier to use it, so right now every time I use it I pause the CR use leap, then unpause the CR. Or another example... using vigilance on someone while the CR is running, I have to spam click it to get to to go off or manually pause the routine, do the ability, then unpause.
