There's so much misinformation in here it's staggering.
BootCamp is free, and can be downloaded from Apple or packaged with OS X 10.5 Leopard. It allows a copy of Windows XP to be installed on a Mac by partitioning the Hard Drive and adding BIOS support to the newer EFI that Apple uses. This allows you to dual-boot into either Mac OSX or Windows, but if you boot into XP then (with few exceptions) you're essentially running a Windows computer. Warden runs just fine, meaning that you will be detected if you don't take precautions.
You're confusing BootCamp with software like Parallels and VMWare Fusion, which allow users to run an additional OS in a Virtual Machine. These products are not free, and their support for various features such as DirectX is sketchy.
Tbh, if you want to do cross-Mac-Window [ This is from my knowledge ] Use Parallels. However, it generates two seperate IPs, as far as i'm concerned, but maybe Hamachi isn't correct.
As far as i'm concerned, if you put WoW installed on your windows, there is the Warden installed with no knowledge of yourself, unless you run on a mac and throw details open - which it is never there because Blizzard didn't set one for Mac.
All in all, you can still be affected, but Warden has to go through a strange format to itself ( Mac) before reaching the Windows and even then it's not going to like it
To be simple: Warden detects Windows if Windows is solely running along and with it's standard preferences, which are unlike Mac's. Therefore you will get discovered, or the chances are very likely.
Sorry to sound noobish but wtf is warden?
Warden is a program Blizzard made from the days of Diablo II.
It attatches to World Of Warcraft and then scans the computer for running softwares. They find the codes for the programs and sends it to their database to see if the codes is the same as known hacks.
If anyone has some time, please message me on AIM - Exenztrix. Im a noob to botting but really want to get into it. Find out what the good botting programs are and such. I run a Mac and after researching for a couple days, it really sounds like a pain to start up botting on a Mac. But again if anyone has some time to chat, please message me. Thanks.
But yeah, we all know the ArcEmu team is pretty much a farce... unfortunately, it's a farce with a gazillion users. - Hellgawd

nice!very cool![]()
glider has not had a software detection in over a year, and vista with uac on makes it that much safer. you need to worry about player reports they will get you everytime.
Well im a mac and pc user and i can tell you:
1) This method is no safer than using it on a regular PC.
2) There is NO warden for mac. But when you install
the PC version of WoW on your "virtual PC" you also install
Warden and because your "virtual PC" allows all the PC
applications it also allows Warden to run.
Yeah, doesn't really make a difference, I've used both.
AFAIK Warden can't run with Mac OSX, yeah! But, if (like the Thread-starter does) you run Windows on a Mac (via BootCamp or any VM-Software), Warden runs like on any other IBM-compatible PC. The hardware within Intel-Macs is almost the same as in ordinary PCs. Just MacOSX makes the diffrents!
So, lets develop an native Mac application! Anyone intersting to doing this with XCode or FreePascal, alternative with Mono? /me don't want to do this alone, the internals of Mac OSX is not my strong part.
Edit:
Well, short time of searching for informations on the web makes me be sure, that this is virtually imposible; 'cause of the reason Warden can't run with Mac OSX, there are no chances to access other processes... :-(

hmm im wondering what would happen if you ran WoW from linux using wine/cedega would warden still be running
There is no Warden for the Mac operating system. A Mac with Windows is a PC without a standard bios, it affects the World of Warcraft client in no way. If you are running World of Warcraft in a Windows environment, be it emulated through a virtual machine or installed through boot camp, you have the exact same vulnerabilities as the guy next to you who just bought a Dell.
If someone were to make a bot that ran natively on OS X, you would be safe from Warden. That is the only time.
