Also I would like to note that it would that it would be highly unlikely for blizzard to MAC ban you since it's probably the ISP's MAC and not yours and IP packets do not include MAC addresses.

They should include mac addresses, they include destination and origin ip/mac addresses, so...yes, they do include MAC addresses
got a weird feeling about deji vu... cuz i just made sumthign liek that 1 week ago ten mjy comp got hacked and that file was gone?????
All I've ever done for scan.dll is delete it, create a 0 length file (make a blank text file or something), rename it scan.dll, put it in wow folder and make read only. Works for me anyway![]()
EDIT: There is also a file called Scan.dll.new, at least on my computer. I think this the one that gets downloaded and then maybe changed to Scan.dll. I give this file the same treatment.

Hi.
Would you mind backing this up? While you know your terms, there are multiple utilities that can change your MAC address, and you can change your IP by connecting to the game via a different network (ie. friend's house). I have not ever tested this, but I am 100% sure they simply flag the account as banned... If a ban was issued on an IP, I would probably apply to blizzard (or suggest anyone who can read, to also apply)... Because this method of banning is not used... ever. Only on private servers where the creation of a new account is easy and free... and there is nothing that gets lost anyway when banned.
I didn't read anything else you typed, but I just want to let it be known that your statement is completely false even though you know what your talking about.
Bye.
No. Only local packets sent within a local network, from the router via a periodic 'whois'. Not over the internet. No... They contain only a source IP, socket number if applicable, and destination, and specific timestamp... and of course the data to be sent... You can't send a packet to a MAC address... multiple computers can have the same MAC address... You could go into your registry editor right now and change your current MAC address.
or its called you get a vista and turn on UAC.
EDIT: UAC = ANTI WARDEN
Nice job, dude. Glad that you have taken the time to reverse engineer it and mess up warden at least a little.
lol doesnt anyone read anything here? I said all you need to do to stop scan.dll above, no need to reverse engineer it or anything fancy.
i also just replaced the 2 Scan.dll files with 0-sized replacements and read only rights.
For glider users: Get the new beta and start Glider after you started WoW. Pie.

Right now yes, but I fancy to challenge game developers.
Checking for a zero-length file is easier than looking for a finished or unfinished scan before actually loading game files.
They'll have to modify their Scan.dll file in order to fix edited gamefiles, which makes it more tempting. We pay them, let them fix their crap accordingly.
Nice, but hacking takes all the fun out of the game.
This is another bull post so I can start a thread...
