Hi,
probably some of you will get the Error Msg "Mmoglider was detectet" on WoW Startup. For someone who haven't a Forum Account , here's Merc's Post
Code:
It seems the Blizzard folks have gotten around to updating Scan.dll again. This guy runs at startup and checks for trojans and other stuff. If you are seeing a popup from the game, along with a scary sound clip that sounds like an irradiated gnome attacking, then read on.
This is caused by the game seeing Glider, typically because the Shadow driver was not loaded or could not hook up properly. This code is different from Warden, so don't freak out too much - you're not logged in yet, there's nothing to flag.
To proceed, consider these options:
1) Make sure the Shadow driver is running ok. If you recently installed some anti-virus or security or other system change, it may be interfering with the driver. If you think it should be running ok and you're seeing this error, run GliderTell and PM the id to Hamut. (he's gonna kill me for this, but we need to know...)
2) Or install the Glider beta and then just start Glider after you log in - that's the biggest new feature and it works great.
3) Or just don't glide until you hear more from us. It's not a critical, life-threatening thing and it has happened before in the past. It does indicate who has a non-working Shadow driver, though.
To avoid duplication of discussion, I'm going to lock and sticky this thread. If you have questions/comments/concerns/etc, chime in on trampy10's original thread here:
